Panthers eyeing Lael Collins, asking Trai about him

I am going to have to trust Dave Gettleman on our OL selections. We need a good starting LT in the worst way but most of the top tackles in the draft are projected to be better suited to play  OG or RT in the NFL.

Bill Voth posted about a Pitt Tackle earlier today. He looks really good but raw at the Senior Bowl. He doesn't fully understand the position yet but physically he's a beast.

A blue chip Right Tackle is not a bad thing. If we have a guy we trust on the right, we can send that RB or TE to chip on the Left. That was our biggest problem this year, we couldn't send help to both sides.

Just because a tackle is a better run blocker than pass blocker doesn't mean you should just throw him in at guard. It's a different skill set altogether

If the panthers draft him then they may as well hire me as a scout, I'll be 2/2... still gotta wait for the draft process to get a little deeper before I make my final prediction

I'm no prospect expert, but he definitely passed the eye test from the film I watched earlier in the year. I'll be pumped if he falls to us in the first.

I would love to see the Panthers get Collins. He did a good job at LSU. I think his familiarity with playing with Turner would be beneficial.
