Re-Drafting all of the Panthers Rookies....

Yes--that was an awesome group--heads and shoulders above others looking back 40 years. But as rookies, were these guys better than our rookies? If so, how much? There have been approximately 1,200 team rookie classes in the NFL since the 74 Steelers. Could this be the best since? How many of this class have a shot to make the HOF one day?

the 74' Steeler rookies began their careers on a Superbowl Championship team already loaded with an ample amount of talent.

UDFA Donnie Shell who eventually became a five time pro bowler played as a backup to Mike Wagner who made the pro bowl in 75'and 76'.Mike Webster was the backup center to 10 year starter Mansfield.Lynn Swann only caught 11 passes but averaged over 18 yds per reception.also he finished the season with 577 punt return yards.Jack Lambert was the DROY and arguably the GOAT middle linebacker and started only because of an injury to 73'pro bowl MLB Henry Davis.John Stallworth finished the season with a 105 yard game against the Bengals which was an uncommon feat during those times in the NFL especially for the Steelers in 74' Jimmy Allen was a good looking prospect but they already had Mel Blount and 73' first round pick JT Thomas at CB.

you can't say well player X is better because he started and has better numbers than player O who had to wait his turn because of an abundance of talent.so the real question is how many 74' rookie Steelers would have started for the 2014 Panthers and vice versa?

and it's way too early to talk possible HOFs unless we can include Luke Keuchly
