That Kony Ealy pick came on strong late. That is one of the fun things about following these guys from the draft to retirement. You can see them grow over time.

Possibly, but we've seen too little from Brown to make him a mid-round draft pick yet but I am excited about him.

 

I can't find the quote but Rivera said early in the season they rated Philly in the 3-5th round and were shocked when he fell out of the draft. They would have chosen him in the 7th but they really wanted to trade up and Grab Bene. They really liked that 6th round running back too long term.

Yeah I agree. He played well but showed questionable speed in coverage. He still has a lot of room to improve.

- insulate against free agent losses

- avoid having to overpay players in contract years

- stay consistent

- keep control of your salary cap

- build a perennial contender
