TarheelBlazer's 7 Round "Seattle Slayer" Mock Draft

Every year people drop. DGB could go anywhere from top 15 to 4th round. Peters the same. ACL injuries still scare teams. No blue chip prospect since Willis McGahee has not suffered at least a two round drop when rehabbing an ACL at the time of the draft.

You're talking about two top 15-25 talents having colossal drops. That's not realistic at all. This is a dream mock, and that's fine. I just hope people don't think this is a scenario that's realistic at all.

Talent wise yes. Character flaws have him dropping. Maybe not to the 4th, but stranger things have happened.

Character flaws? Really? That term gets thrown around WAY too much. It's as bad as "system Quarterback". Go read up on Peters.....people in the know have said his "character flaws" aren't anything that will significantly impact his Draft stock. He couldn't get along with the new guy in charge, that's not a character flaw or concern in the least. New guy came in from a small school low profile program to a power five conference where dudes aren't treated the same. Peters wasn't a good soldier so he was pushed out. You think that's going to impact his Draft stock by three rounds?

I never said I agreed or guaranteed this, just that it COULD happen. You can knock me for hoping he drops to the Panthers but it's not personal. I am aware of the story with him and Petersen. If you recall Richard Sherman dropped because Harbaugh and him didn't get along at Stanford and he was never kicked off the team like Peters. Please don't lump me in with the "label crowd."

Sherman also dropped because he wasn't nearly the player he is now, and didn't have significant measureables in terms of 40, three cone etc. He didn't become a great DB till he got to the league.

"Baited" and "prone to mental lapses" are not things anyone would use to describe Sherman in 2015.

True. Just stating players do drop in these cases. There's also players who get drafted high regardless of character concerns, most recently Bruce Irvin with the Seahawks. Good debate by the way.
