TarheelBlazer's 7 Round "Seattle Slayer" Mock Draft

This is my first mock in years. I don't think a player like Randall Cobb's coming, but I think Gettleman saves his money one more year but goes for an offensive player looking to rebound like Michael Crabtree, CJ Spiller or Jordan Cameron. This mock takes that into consideration:

Round 1:

OT Ereck Flowers (MIA)- Height 6’6” Weight 325 lbs

Day one starter at LT. Anchor for Cam for the next 10 years.

Round 2:

WR Dorial Green-Beckham (OKLA) Height 6’6” Weight 225 lbs

If he is still there at this point, we should run the card up to the podium. Green-Beckham paired with Benjamin will be a nightmare matchup for years.

Round 3:

OT Cedric Ogbuehi (TAMU) Height 6'5" Weight 305 lbs

Value pick. Remmers can hold down the right OT position in 2015 as Ogbuehi redshirts. Line will be complete

Round 4:

CB Marcus Peters (WASH) Height 6'0" Weight 190 lbs

This is a pick the Panthers would usually avoid, but Gettleman sees Peters paired with Norman and can't resist.

Round 5:

WR Tyler Lockett (KSU) Height 5'11" Weight 175 lbs

Sure-handed slot receiver with quickness that will help with kick return duties.

Round 6:

SS Durell Eskridge (SYR) Height 6'3" Weight 203 lbs

Replacement for Harper and helps on special teams immediately.

Round 7:

WR/QB Devin Gardner (MICH) Height 6'4" Weight 210

Developmental pick that could pay dividends in a year or two.

Would take MOST of this draft in a heart beat. with that said. Peters wont fall past round 2 and will probably still go 1st.. Still the best prospect at CB in this draft(panthers wont touch). I wouldnt touch Ogbuehi til atleast the 4th. love DGB, but again dont think panthers touch him.

I love the Peters and Flowers pick. I expect Flowers stock to rises as the draft season starts to get into full swing. I love the Marcus Peters pick the dude can ball and has top 15 talent. I can see Gettleman taking a chance with him because we still need help in the secondary and Peters has the ability to take away half of the field. If you don't agree with me look at the two teams who are going to the Super Bowl and look at their secondary. The Seahawks and Patriots both have elite corners on the outside that make a impact. Norman and Peters in our secondary makes our defense better.

In what world are DGB or Peters available where you picked them? Hell, even Ogbuehi could end up a second rounder.

Every year people drop. DGB could go anywhere from top 15 to 4th round. Peters the same. ACL injuries still scare teams. No blue chip prospect since Willis McGahee has not suffered at least a two round drop when rehabbing an ACL at the time of the draft.
