The difference between driving home and on a nascar race....... hmmm in your terms its the difference between 2 min pooping with a 4 inch turd and 13 wipes, and a 45 minute pooping with 3 varying in sizes 10 inch - 6 inch turds and one wipe.

Well since you put it like that, NASCAR is definitely a sport.

NASCAR. Was awesome. It was a beautiful blend of sport, heritage, and history. The drivers where likable, and they raced in places that were the hotbed of the sport not just major population centers.

They sold out and now it sucks, plain and simple.

If you think you like NASCAR go to a race at bowman grey motor speedway. That place is amazing. It's everything that NASCAR was. Nobody there is in it for the money. It's about the cars, competition, and passion... The fights are cool to.

The only true sports are Bull Fighting, Mountain Climbing and Motor racing, everything else is just a game.

I think as a percentage, young people don't want to go sit in the Sun for 5 hours to watch cars go in a circle. Like your typical 10 year old from 1972 compared to a 10 year old today. Kids today can sit on the xbox and never do anything. Even things like little league sports are seeing less participation. 

 

All the big college games are moving to cable TV. Kids growing up with chord cutting parents are getting left out of live TV sports. These sorts of things have long term impacts. There are PSL owners at BofA that were children during our last Super Bowl run. I watched the Panthers on rabbit ears in the 90s because my folks saved for retirement.

I'm not a fan of NASCAR, but I'll say cool when my man Ryan Newman wins.

I may not like 500 laps or anything like that, but I do enjoy seeing a good race, be it drag or stock racing. I live 30 minutes awayfrom Bristol andthey holdmore races there than just NASCAR. I like going to Pinks events there.
