Don't complain about Richardson when Nascar does this

Terrible timing. The modern depression hurt nascar the worst out of all the sports. I also read a few weeks ago its losing 1.5mill(per year) the last two. For starters it cost too much to enter, forget about food, drinks, and tshirts.( The vendors at the races tracks are dying up as well). Zod also loves putting down nascar, its like a drug to him. Zod if you ever have the time, go on the richard petty experience. Even better take josh(or gross) and sami for the deal, then have podcast and talk about.

It's not dying because of the costs, it's dying because it's boring as hell, corrupt, and redundant. It's going to eventually become a swamp buggy type niche.

I wanted an aquarium instead. NASCAR needs to hire the Dos Equis or Apple marketing folks and lower prices on races and stop switching networks every 6 weeks. Oh and your season is Waaaaaaay too long. Feb to Aug and see ya later. Two months off is it? Child please.

I know I catch a lot of heat for this but I just don't think NASCAR is a great sport. It seems my opinion may hold water.

It is a regional sport native to the South that tried to expand onto a national level but paid the price of losing its identity. The regional tracks in the small communities like Wilkesboro and Rockingham were scrapped and as a result NASCAR lost its core fanbase that helped build the sport. It's like taking the Packers and moving them to L.A.

When you alienate your loyal fans in favor of the empty promise of expanding into fair weather markets, you're asking for trouble. As far as the HOF is concerned, it would have been better served in Concord or Mooresville where the race teams are or even the Speedway itself. Not right in the middle of downtown couple blocks away from another entertainment venue in TWC Arena. Once again, NASCAR trying to be something they're not.

I'm a big racing fan, and NASCAR barely qualifies as a motorsport anymore.

Conceptually, it wouldn't be too hard to fix and have it become a respectable motorsport again, but it's status quo for the France family. They still think it's the Hollywood phonies they need to cater to when they've completely forgotten their Southern contingent.

It can crash and burn for all I care...
