Deflate-Gate: Patriots Being Investigated For Deflated Footballs

Recommended Posts

I think there is a bit of a cover up going on.  What was today actually about?  I think there was some pre-investigation positioning going on:

  • An attempt to put this to rest on their end so they will not be asked about it all week.---  To trivialize the ordeal.  (BB was "embarrassed" by the amount of time he had to spend on this--ready to focus on something more important--this is an attempt to make himself the victim by having to spend his precious time on nonsense).
  • To win over the public and put pressure on the NFL-maybe preventing them from using the science behind ball deflation.  If the NFL presents data that shows the balls would not lose 2 lbs of pressure in 2 hours in any weather, they can say that it contradicts their study)
  • To put blame on the refs--(Johnny Cochran found fault in the LAPD, for example)

The NFL needs to ask:

1. Why were the Colts' balls in compliance?

2  If the balls were deflated as suggested by rubbing, temperature, and atmospheric conditions, why was 1 ball inflated properly?

3. Do the equipment managers know how Brady likes his shoulderpads, helmets, facemask placement on that helmet, etc. without having to ask him every game?  If so, would they also know how he likes his footballs inflated?  If so, has Brady not made public comments about ball inflation?

Did anyone notice Bill's attitude about spygate?  Did he sound like a man remorseful about breaking rules and tarnishing the shield? No, he was still making excuses about trying to gain unfair advantages.

Brady likes the balls to be at 12.5psi, as low as possible with the current rules in place. The equipment managers would definitely know and have a process in place to get the balls to the right feel....

Look at how the NYG prepare the game balls for Manning, it takes like 3-4 months. They keep them under lock and key and no one else on the staff but one person has access to the key.

Actually its coming out more and more that if the minimum allowed pressure of 12.5 is used and its really cold then the preasure goes down to around 10.5-11.

the conlusion will be there was no wrongdoing and all of this has been a stupid witchhunt.

Everyone of course that believes their Buffalo Bills or Cleveland Browns team should be on top instead of the Patriots will of course start screaming that we never went to the moon and that the x files are real.

I would rather see the Panthers get smarter and continue to improve.

This childish confirmation bias by everyone just to feel better about the disparity between the Patriots and all the other teams is just ridiculous.

Actually when Seattle wins this Superbowl and its 2 in a row,...

I wonder if JuiceGate and Holding Gate will start?

You know, PEDs are only in Seattle, or the corners there are getting away with pass interference right and left like theres Ms Elizabeth at the side distracting the refs while Macho hits Hogan over the head with her loaded purse,.....

Nice try but that's not true Fanboy.....The temp at game time was around 51 degrees which isn't cold enough for balls to deflate. Plus, oddly enough 0 out of 12 Colts balls deflated due to the weather - yet 11 out of 12 Patriots balls lost 2 psi of pressure.

I included a link to prove you're talking out your anus. Don't come in here with this weak sauce and think it's not going to end up making you look foolish.

Bill Nye The Science Guy says Bill Belichick is full of poo: http://deadsp.in/BlSd7HZ

The Pats are lying.

It's hilarious that these guys can start talking about how the balls got deflated regardless of whether or not it makes sense. Don't let the fact that it scientifically impossible to "rub down" 2 psi of air pressure two hours before a game.

Belichick's new nickname should be "Skinny Black" because he's Ludacris

Our problem is that we are using fact, logic and reason to argue with two people who have no interest in using them. We could hypothetically have video evidence of belicheck and Brady personally deflating the balls and they'd still argue with us.

Sure.  My only question to BB about his theory and research would be, "Why were all the balls not uniform?"  In other words, 1 ball was in compliance.  One ball was not exposed to the treatments and barometric pressure (sarcasm) he so unscientifically tried to explain to us.  Was that ball kept indoors?  Was it not roughed up?

Maybe it was the kicking ball, and it makes sense that it would be inflated to the max.  However, nobody said that--I am just trying to anticipate his answer.

Have they said Colts balls weren't deflated at all, or did they say they were legal? If the Colts balls were inflated to the max, and Patriots balls were inflated to the min, then if they both deflated 2psi the Colts balls would still be legal whereas Patriots would not.

Or it could have been at the bottom of the stack and insulated. Things aren't always uniform like that.

I'll remember this complete impartiality when the results reveal no tampering. I'm sure you'll say "Very well then, the Patriots are not cheaters."

Sure.  I understand that I am playing "Conspiracy Theory," but 1 ball at the bottom (when I would guess there would be several) that is a good 2 lbs different?  My conspiracy theory suggests that the equipment manager: Ballboy division missed one.

Hilarious and still confirmation bias,.. if you even know what that means,...

I can do that too-- and yes I am a true fan-- because this is all ridiculous to me.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/21/cold-weather-does-indeed-reduce-ball-pressure/

Read em and weep smalls,.....

And theres plenty more where that came from--- so keep it up and ill biach slap you every time. Maybe instead of smoking cigars you could use the money instead to go back to school?
