Probably true for those of you under 40 who never got a chance to see truly great QBs.

 

 

lol bologna. With the advances in sports medicine, nutrition, training, psychology, and literally everything else you could probably stick Clausen on the Baltimore Colts and he would be better than Unitas, Bart Starr, or whatever other historical QB you want to name.

 

Tyson would murder Ali in the first round, too. Older does not mean better.

It's the typical psychological effect of 'the good ol' days'. It's not unique to anyone, everyone grows up and at some point begins to believe past time were better times when really it's just change and adaptation that becomes harder for people to do and to accept. Other things play a role too, nostalgia, the memories of youth etc etc.

The games qbs now would dance around qbs of yesterday year old man. Defense has grown to be way more advanced and so has the offense.

 

You're right, because now you can't touch a QB without a flag. The QBs today are pussies next to even Marino, Montana and Elway.

 

At least, that's what I think your post is implying, although most of your sentence structure is lost on me. Maybe that's the way they teach English in schools nowadays, you young whippersnapper.

Wrong. Clausen would get killed if he got hit like QBs did before 1990. The pussification of QBs began and half the QBs in today's league would be on IR after a couple weeks.

Not a good match up........NE wins 37-21...........ugh the Pats........hated them since the tuck rule against the Raiders..........

 

Indy and Hawks or ........NE and GB would make for a better game.

 

I can't believe the Hawks can play so bad at times on offensive..............they are in trouble in the SB if that team shows up again. There will be no lucky breaks like against GB.

So you're saying because defenses were allowed to hit harder that makes the qbs better?

Defense and offense run more complex systems than of the past and the athletes are on defense are better now than of the past.

I'm surprised you even know how to use a computer gramps. Don't you have a shuffle board match you are late for with Gladys and Eugene?

No, dumfug. You don't read well either, I see. I said because defenses were allowed to hit the QB... period. Today;s QBs couldn't take the hits guys like Montana, Elway and Marino took. But, I'm sure you never heard of those guys, right?

I actually feel bad seeing Joe Montana in that dumb ass Papa Johns commercial. It's not a good look for him.

 

I agree with you on that.  Joe doesn't have camera suave.  Also I don't like Peyton being on ANY commercial.  He sucks at acting.  I think he does have several Papa franchises.  The Nationwide commercials just plain suck.
