LeGarrette Blount

Wow. Didn't realize that Blount was so divisive.

Everyone has a right to their opinion, but I don't think Blount is as bad a person as people are trying to make him. Sure he isn't a choir boy, but he isn't a menace to society either.

As for football specifically, some of you seem to be anti-apologists in regards to Blount, giving all kinds of reasons and excuses for why he runs well when given opportunities. Last night he had some nice holes sometimes. That's normal. But he made some holes too, and he pushed the pile and the chains on different occasions. He has done this more than a couple of times in his career.

ignorant of his history, what has he done that's so bad?

And then in his two playoff games against the Colts is run for 400 yards and 7 TD's.

In otherwords, WHO GIVES A fug. Dude produces.

I give a fug.

He walked out on his team because Bell was getting more carries and he was having a great game.

Tub of Goo, he walked out of the stadium during a game and sat in the bus because Bell was having a great night running the ball. This is when he was still in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh cut him the next day.

What I want the other guys that want him to answer is why would you want someone who went crazy in college, has had troubles in the NFL, and throws tantrums because he's teammates are performing better?

Good for Belichick then. He's a coaches men among a league full of boys. He could end up being the most dominant coach in NFL history yet no one will concede that because of his personality off the field.

While we're questioning deflated balls. Why don't we question what in the hell Lynch is actually eating in those skittles packs?

Why do I get the feeling you're wearing a hoodie with the sleeves cut off? Based off you obvious emotional man love for Belichick, I'm not ruling out some Patriots panties as well. If the cave in your cavedweller screen name is referring to is BB butt, then it suits you perfectly. Climb outta there, take a breath, and stop being so defensive.

I don't have a dog in the fight therefor I don't care. You spend time worrying about what other people do you fail to realize what's going on with yourself. He does well with the Patriots when it counts.

Steve Smith broke his own teammates jaw, pitched fits when he didn't get the ball enough and was unhappy with his lack of production his last season here yet people defended him until the end. The point is that it really doesn't matter what you do as long as you have production between the white lines.

I'm being defensive because the hate for someone else having success bothers me. It always has and always will. I don't care if a team wins because they usually have success for a reason. I envy their success because our team has never and may never reach the level of success the Patriots have achieved since the BB and Brady era began.

They won 45-7 by being a good football team, not because they deflated footballs.

Man I get it but the level of rigorous defense you're putting up across multiple threads is reserved for paid attorneys and wives. You are neither of those so relax a little. This is a Panther message board....maybe not the best place to find similar views concerning a team or coach that beat us in the SB. I think most NFL franchises and fans would be jealous of the Patriots success but trying to force us to admit it, might be a little to much.

He is one dimensional. Not what we need with Cam

The question is really not whether he is one dimensional (tbh, there really isn't any question because this is all hypothetical being that he is on a two-year deal), the question is really whether or not he'd be an upgrade over Tolbert, a fan favorite.

Tolbert is versatile. Blount isn't. So I'd say no....he isn't an upgrade.

And I am all about cutting Tolbert. We don't need a one dimensional RB like Blount in our O

I think some guys when the don't like where they are instead of rising above they make life so bad a team has to get rid of them. I could see Blounts agent and NE talking on the side to make this move. Also some places are just a bad fit. But look how Bill uses rbs. He knows what he is doing.

Ahem
