Rank the following Panthers linebackers from best to worst

Here are my definitive rankings after thinking about this for the past few days and after having seen all of them play at their best here:

1. Kuechly: Assuming he stays healthy, he's the first sure-fire Panther Hall of Famer and the next statue guy. No other linebacker in team history could take over games singlehandedly like he can.

2. Mills: The smartest player to ever put on a Panther uniform. Was ALWAYS in the right spot to make the key tackle or pass breakup, NEVER missed a tackle.

3. Morgan: He was hardly ever in his prime, but when he was he was nearly as good as Kuechly. An absolute de-cleater and someone who could occasionally singlehandedly beat offenses.

4. Davis: Probably the most underrated player in the league over the past 2 years and that last partial season before he tore his ACL the first time. A heat-seeking missile that reads what QBs do better than any linebacker I can remember.

5. Greene: If you didn't see Kevin Greene the Panther, he had a lot of Gronk attitude in him. A sack beast that would beat you and let you know that he beat you.

6. Lathon: To be honest, I don't remember Lathon as well as Kevin Greene, but I remember Lathon was only okay his first year here and tore it up once he had Kevin Greene as his sack partner.

7. Beason: Tad overrated even in his prime, but no Panther linebacker other than Kuechly had such a strength/speed combination.

Mark Fields was TD before Carolina had TD - douchebag or not, he could be on this list. Lower, but still there. Will Witherspoon was also a very solid linebacker during his time here, and it says something that he still hardly cracks the top 10 even with the team only 20 years old.

That said, my list is based on ability to not just play well and do their job, but to take over a game from their respective position.

Luke

TD

Kevin Greene

Dan Morgan

Beason

Mills

Lamar Lathon

Kuechly--only Panther DPOY ever

Mills--set the example for our future MLBs, stout vs. run and great with setting the defense pre-snap

Green--still tied for 1st with Hardy at 15 sacks in a season and 3rd with Peppers at 14.5 despite playing only 2 or 3 years here

Morgan--25 tackles in our only Super bowl appearance

Beason--had a heavier defensive burden when Davis was out for 3 years, still did well

Davis--best 4-3 OLB we've ever had, but has always played next to a good MLB

Lathon--decent OLB, at his best with Green

Ugh, I completely forgot of Mark Fields' existence. Yeah he made a Pro Bowl as a Panther too, feel free to rank him if you want.

Hey a different post!

My ranking

1. Luke Kuechly - DPOY and honestly would take him above all

2. Thomas Davis - Longevity and just speed and hitting

3. Kevin Greene - amazing when we ran a 3-4

4. Sam Mills - small sample size but defined early and present Panthers

5. Jon Beason - damn injuries

6. Dan Morgan - read above

7. Lamar Lathon - Pepper needs to thank Salt!
