If Cam threw 4 interceptions in a game...

Against a bad Chicago team early in the reg season.

Wilson just did it against the Packers in the NFC Championship game.....and you remember those Packers, the ones who demolished us in the reg season.

Not exactly the same scenario.

duude.....dooood....duuuuuuude!!!???

4 real?

U talking bout the packers who just imploded and arguably one of the worst losses (give a ways) in the history of playoff football.

This is why we are a losing franchise.

We are arguing which qb is getting the proper football street cred. Trophies don't mean anything to some here. Perception and is the national media giving someone proper credit or blame.

Unbelievable.

To paraphrase the great poet Allen Iverson. Perception?

We ain't talking about wins. We talkin bout perception.

I don't care if Cam gets another commercial or if Skip Bayless thinks he is any good.

Just friggin win. That's all that matters.

Just refuting your minimization of RW's college accomplishments. RW is not a pocket passer because he is short. Cam is physically a better athlete. Put RW's head on Cams body and I bet he functions better in the pocket.

this is a medical impossibility.

then maybe the guy should have checked his facts before making the argument in the first place?  the original point wasn't "cam has never led a comeback against a good team in the NFC championship game" it was "cam has never led us back from a 10 point deficit" which is false.  the point of contention wasn't anything you mentioned in your post.

the biggest difference to me and the main reason why the two quarterbacks don't really compare well has to do with the fact that wilson is installed in a west coast offense with zone read concepts whereas cam is in a coryell with the same.  if you plucked wilson off the seahawks and dropped him in our offense where he'd be expected to wait in the pocket for our slow-ass wide receivers to get open downfield with questionable pass pro for most of the year i don't think the results would be nearly as good.  same with newton working with a bunch of timing/option routes and his tendency to sail balls.  although that nasty power running game would be a perk.

They're even IMHO or cam has the slight edge.

Pocket Passer:Cam is superior then Russell

Throwing on the run: Russell all day

Rushing: Tricky because as you get older this is not something that will get better. Split

Bottom line is,both guys are good, but who will be better will depend on which one improves in the areas they're weak in.
