If Cam threw 4 interceptions in a game...

Cam does not come out on the positive end of the spectrum in many comparisons with Russel Wilson. The guy graduated from NC State with a communications degree in 3 years. He took graduate level classes at Wisconsin during his time there. The guy is smart and it shows on the field. Cam is better from the neck down but that's about it. Put Wilson's head on Newtons body and then you will have a "greatest of all time QB" like many here think Newton already is.

This is absolutely one hundred percent wrong.

Cam does more in the pocket reading defenses and pre snap reads the RW.

That's also like saying I got masters degree in geology so that makes me really damn good at teaching history.

well when one of the main points you're making is "we haven't seen cam do xyz like russell wilson did" it does somewhat undermine your point when cam, in fact, actually did do xyz.

Against a bad Chicago team early in the reg season.

Wilson just did it against the Packers in the NFC Championship game.....and you remember those Packers, the ones who demolished us in the reg season.

Not exactly the same scenario.

who has less ints and a higher completion %?

i'm not talking about that. Dude literally said RW is smarter than Cam at the QB position by showing he graduated with a COMMUNICATIONS degree in 3 years and was taking masters classes.

All signs point to Cam being a better pocket passer at this point. I've watched RW whenever it doesn't go against the panthers and RW is not a legit pocket passer.

Graduating from NCSU with any degree in 3 years is an impressive accomplishment even for a non athlete. It requires discipline and taking many more classes per semester than the normal 5 year red shirt plan football players are on. Its a ridiculous accomplishment given the time requirements a major college football program puts on athletes. RW was a 2 sport player which makes it even more impressive.

College is more about teaching you to think and learn than it is any curriculum. Were you hiring someone for your business would you not give more credit to the guy who graduated in 3 years over another who took 5. I am not saying RW is smarter than Cam at the QB position. I am saying RW is smarter than Cam period at this point in time. Its just my opinion without knowing either one so take it for what its worth.

What is the point of posting that than? We're talking football

Well their Wonderlic scores weren't that far off. Cam 21 Wilsons 28.  Kaps was 37.

I wouldn't even call that an opinion, more like a completely uninformed observation based on very little information.

Why are you even arguing the intelligence level of two men you've never even met anyways? Why does this matter?

Just refuting your minimization of RW's college accomplishments. RW is not a pocket passer because he is short. Cam is physically a better athlete. Put RW's head on Cams body and I bet he functions better in the pocket.

The GB@Seattle game isn't a indicator of RW sucking or greatness. I think RW is a very good QB.

There seems to be no shades of grey in posters perceptions of either Cam's or RW's critiques.

RW pulled a T.e.b.o.w. on Sunday. Pure suckage for 55 mins and your TEAM is able to keep the score close enough to get to OT. But is he Timmy, nope, I think RW is a top 5 QB, but it was a Timmy performance.

In the NFL, there are no comebacks w/o defenses & special teams contributing. You have limited # of offensive possessions to score points.

If you just want to compare the clutch-ness(?) between RW and Cam. These playoff games are a horrible game to compare.

Seattle down 12, RW throws an INT with 5:04 left.

GB starts drive on GB43. 3 and out. 3:52 left. (credit SEA defense and McCarthy's inner Rivera)

RW gets ball back. Scores TD with 2:09 left.

RW gets ball back after successful onsides kick. (credit SEA special teams and Packer's TE brain fart)

SEA scores TD to take the lead with 1:25 left.

Panthers down 14, Cam throws an INT with 5:55 left in the game. Now down 21.

Cam gets ball back and scores TD with 2:34 left. Down 14.

Seattle recovers onsides kick.

Panthers defense unable to stop 2 first down conversions and Cam never sees the ball again.

So down 14 with 3-4 mins left in the game, SEA D and ST was able to get RW two more possessions, The CAR D and ST didn't do the same for Cam and the Panthers offensive.

-------------

The comparison that should be made is that Cam/Schula/Rivera actually outperformed Rodgers/McCarthy with offensive game plan/execution.
