If Cam threw 4 interceptions in a game...

Why do people call skyscraper high lobs a football with "touch" on it?

Rodgers, Brees and Brady have nearly perfect touch on their throws.   I've yet to see any of them blindly lob the ball straight up into the air with their eyes closed.

Wilson had no choice on the two pts conversion throw.

Also some history. The last team to win a championship game with 4+ turnovers? 81 49ers.

then people shouldn't call them "touch throws"

also having to go back 30+ years to a completely different era of pro football illustrates the fluky nature of what we saw yesterday.  there were 8 quarterbacks who threw at least 20 interceptions that season and the highest rated passer put up a rating of 98.

Regular season wins? Not with the season on the line?

Also the defense gave up 9,13, and 20 points in those games....

He has choked in the playoffs twice now.

Ok? Because every young Qb is perfect? Luck choked yesterday, Rodgers choked poo Manning has choked what 12? 13? Times now in the playoffs? Get behind your qb or fug off seriously you and Medallion should just become fans of a different team you guys are on some straight bull sh*t

I put that stat to show the last time it happend axe grinder.

How many times has Wilson thrown a pass like that? If it's always luck I'll take that. The old saying is true. Sometimes better to be lucky than good.

Was it a touch throw? Yeah. Some. Was it a prayer? Yeah. Some. Was it the first time he has done that? Nope.

Was the game winner in OT in a champ game a touch pass? Or a fluke?

Welcome to the sports world where rationality doesn't exist. Some people will go slobfest on Wilson and some will say the Packers lost it.

Again too many here set themselves up for perpetual disappointment and angst simply by playing the what if game. Why the torture is beyond me.

quit assuming that i'm saying wilson sucks or that cam's better or whatever the hot circle jerk on this god forsaken forum is right now.  i don't remember playing the "what if" game either-i think i've been pretty clear about my belief that he played like absolute dog poo, was bailed out repeatedly by his (historically good) defense and special teams, and should be buying them watches and steak dinners* because they had to pull off a bunch of insanely improbable stuff to even give him the shot to rainbow that pass to kearse which i'll admit was pretty much a perfect ball.

it's really hard to argue that seattle deserved to win yesterday in much the same way that it's hard to argue wilson played a great game.  "he came through in the end and was clutch" misses the point and isn't the same thing as either of those, by the way.

*i'm sure he is anyway because he seems like a swell guy regardless

Never said you play the what if game. That's why I said too many here. Trust me. I have no problem being specific or blunt with someone.

Yeah he played horribly. Yes there were some crazy things that had to happen. Football is like that. Some days a guy carries you and others a unit does.

I don't think Wilson will have a hard time giving his team all the credit they deserve.

The if game is at the core of the entire thread. A scenario that hasn't happened and I hope never does to prove well what exactly? No crap Seattle has an awesome d. Only giving up the fewest points scored 3 straight years. Im sure other qbs could do well there but that's not how it works.

I said it before the off-season last year started. Chemistry is everything. You can have all the talent or alleged talent in the world and top notch staff bit if the chemistry is off forget it.

You don't actually believe that, do you?

I believe it's very possible, yes.

With only one or two exceptions, we lose pretty much 100% of the time when Cam throws at least 1 interception.

With that defense, home field advantage, beast mode, etc.. Wilson has a much higher margin for error and he is still well on his way to winning another ring.

I'm not trying to totally discredit Wilson, he's darn good and has made some very clutch plays - but I think Cam would have been even more successful under those same conditions.

It's a silly thing to argue about, because we'll never know - so it's just matter of opinion and that's mine.

You just proved my point, but seem to lack the intellect to see it. When the Panthers and Seahawks play which QB is going up against the superior team?

Trust me, I'm not the one who lacks the intellect to see it the truth.

Cam had a pretty poor team this year to work with along side injuries.

But when both teams needed a big play in our last game, who came up with one? Cam and his pick 6? His near interception that, well, pretty much SHOULD have been an interception by Earl Thomas? His pick STRAIGHT AT Richard Sherman trying for Philly Brown?

Or Russel for his dynamite pass over the top of Bene? His quick pass to the TE? His scrambles that picked up first downs.

Russel was completely awful yesterday. AWFUL. However, when it mattered most and he HAD to come through and made incredible perfect throws to bring his team to victory.

When Cam needed to make a big play.... pick 6. Didn't even try to chase the guy down.

Russel Wilson 2 super bowls. Cam has 1 playoff win against a 4th string quarterback. He had an amazing defense last year, unstoppable front 7. A home game.

Look Cam has a very bright future and may very well bring us a super bowl (he better for the money he's gonna get.) but Russel is 5-0 against Cam. Remember that time Cam threw it straight into the dirt at the end of the game?

Your allowed to think Cam is better and truth be told, you are correct, my opinion isn't any better than anybody elses.
