Total Green Bay collapse. Wilson tried to lose it with the last pick and even threw the ball up for grabs several times. All Green Bay had to do was make any kind of play and they didn't. They don't deserve to win but then again neither does Seatle. It would have been hard to script this kind of ending and have anyone believe it. Worse collapse in NFCCG history.

the whole first half I kept thinking................GB you are going to pay for that move................and that move and that move........(all those FGs that is)..............

 

Then I had a sense that fake Hawks FG was coming and I knew that GB would be in trouble at that point in the game because the Hawks were willing to risk it all which you should in a game like this!

 

Man GB looked like Rivera game strategy on steroids. When will an offense remember to move the chains when you have the lead at the end of a game........and more importantly when will a defense play like the first quarter of the game instead of the gawd awful prevent defense that just gives up yards after yards at the end when they think they have enough points to win?

 

Man play the game full bore from start to finish.........and if you screw up late in the game you screw up.......but I'd rather have it left on the field by the effort than for the screw up to come from the strategy on the sidelines..............

 

All that said I hate GB and laughed my ass off for the last 4 mins...........

McCarthy should be given most of the blame for losing this game,one they should have won going away. Not  going for a TD twice in a short yardage situation and his conservative attempt to run the ball, when he should have been attacking, came back to be his undoing.

 

This type of conservative coaching let the Seahawks come back and get lucky breaks to win the game. When in the world are these coaches going to learn that conservative football will come back and bite you in the rearend?

 

Hopefully, Ron Rivera,Shula and the Panthers coaching staff were watching and learning the things Huddle posters have been saying for years about conservative football decisions.

From what I saw he had a couple receivers blow routes and drop passes.

 

He had a bum leg so people quite literally handi-capped his performance. I didn't leave that game thinking he played poorly. I think the Packers genuinely thought they could defend a 16 point lead and got a little conservative. 

 

 

Wise man say..."You sit on a lead in a playoff game,you sit home the next game".

McCarthy should be fired after that, to be in total control and to allow that to happen.  They had taken that raucous crowd out of it, were chewing up huge chunks of yards with Lacy and the other back who's name escapes me at the moment (#44), and then with that offense against a beaten down and hobbled Seattle defense, they puckered their ass cheeks and gave it away.

 

I was disgusted for them, not even a fan.

 

But they should fire the coach after that - inexcusable in a conference championship game.
