Wilson is average. He was never a great QB in college & he never will be in the pros.

He's not so hot when his defense isn't shutting out the other team & he can just hand the ball to Lynch. This is probably the first game of his career he's had to throw & come from behind- & he sucks.

 

Really Manning looked better than both these QBS last week when you take into account all the drops and spotty line play.

 

Playoff football is about defense.  Seattle hasn't had to deal with much of that playing Washington, Atlanta, NO, Denver - they did have to deal with SF D and won on the last play in that one.

Wilson is between play maker and game manager, but for the most part is a game manager. There is nothing wrong with that term at all. Alex Smith is a game manager and a good QB. Yes Wilson can be good outside of the pocket, but his game is mostly relying on the defense and a strong run game. When the defense is playing against the run, then Wilson has more options over top and can run around and turn into the "play maker".
