Madden 15 sliders?

lightsout

And lol at EA still not addressing the QB issues. I played through the first three games of our season and opposing QBs were over 90% completion percentage in all three games.

Have only had it about a week. Hope Wal-Mart will give me my money back.

Yea I almost gave up on the game too...actually I did. But I had nothing else to play so I kept fuging with the sliders till the game seemed even enough for me. Took about over a month to get it right. That is some of the BS that made me quit years ago. If I had other games, I would've stopped playing in December.

I just won the superbowl and have started choosing my own plays on offense and defense. I'm not using the sliders i posted in this thread as i felt they were too easy for me. Sucks we have to resort to sliders in the first place, be kinda nice if the developers made a "simulation" difficulty.  Yup ive got tons of games in where the ball is clearly right on the first down marker, but it ends up a fourth down anyway. The cpu on the other hand doesn't cross but gets it.  Or your wr catches it and you have the stick pointed upfield, only for his mommentum to cause him to move the opposite direction or he breaks a tackle and goes backwards.  I drafted a LT in the first round to replace bell, he is graded an 82 overall and only 20 years old.

For a few years here i was playing nfl 2k5 with fan made updated rosters. The announcers would even say players names, like cam netwon, and stewart.  Like with most fan created stuff players ratings were not where they should be. Luke and others being low.  I think only one person was making rosters every year once i picked it up. I couldn't think of trying to make every player for every team on my own.

yea I also don't see the point of sliders when you have attribute ratings for each player. Why not just let them play with those? That way you know if you're really good or bad and if a player in the game is better than the other. We shouldn't have to keep on testing to set a handicap for either the user or the computer so that both sides are even. If each player has their own attributes, we shouldn't even be able to choose difficulty. They should just go out there and play. The good ones will be noticeable as well as the bad ones.

Agreed. all pro would be just that, but ea didn't program the ai to have a true sim experience. Infact no real sports game is made like that. Doesn't matter if its football, hockey, or basketball sliders get you that experience. Could you imagine the backlash they would get if they did release a game that was sim accurate? Bunch of people be yelling on facebook/twitter that they can't score on offense or that the defense on their end can't stop no one. Even though its supposed to be built to be as true to football as possible, its still arcadie.

They shouldn't even do attributes for players since it's that way. It makes those attributes pointless.

Attributes do matter its just that the ai controlling them at the default all pro setting is pure ass. You have to fine tune the game. Some settings have to be lowered for both cpu and computer, while others are increased, and like you said some others give either the cpu or the player a handicap. Take qb accuracy for instance, most sliders i see for both is set below 10. Anything above and the qb plays like a god. At 10 you can notice a difference between a jimmy clausen and tom brady. Now its the opposite for cbs. You have to increase the sliders to make them play smarter, but stil a richard sherman will stand leagues above a carson.  Only problem though is the ai cb will start running the routes before the wrs do. There is no fine line. The dline is broken in this game, sacks come a plenty. So in order to compensate for the bad ai programmed for them and the oline you have increase blocking and lower pass rush.  This year is also the first time you can jump the line sooner so that may play a part into the sack issue.

Sliders basicaly help fix the ai. Sure you'll help the cbs and safeties get great till they jump passes they shouldn't, so you go in to fix your wrs. Then your qb, then your oline, then the dline to fix sacks. So in other words, once you fix one issue another pops up and another one. So your overcompensating for bad ai all around.

tldr madden sucks

I feel like sliders are something that shouldn't be necessary. Madden has been around a while now and they're still trying to address basic issues?

That's the equivalent of a gun in a Call of Duty game shooting 3 yards to the left whenever you aim down the iron sights. It's the foundation of the way the game is played. Why in the world should have I to spend hours contorting the games' AI to make the game play as close to the way real football is played as possible?

They just don't know how to program the ai to get players to play like that. Its not like a solo sports game like tennis or something, each position has its own set of rules and they all must be on screen at the same time. haha makes it sound like i'm defending them when i'm not. Each year the ai lapses in something. One year playaction passes wouldnt work as your oline wouldn't block, man to man coverage was terrible another year, zone coverage was bad another year, etc

I believe they go that direction to sell more copies. No different than a comic book which is dark being turned into pg 13 material so kids can watch. Sure there are tons of us that want a true sim experience but there are others that are fine with a all pro or all madden difficulty. They don't want to work to get a  td, they want it to come easy. Same goes for defense.

Basically make the game for causual players. Sure there are alot of us who want a sim experience but we are not the only ones who play.
