You beat me too it. I agree....Boiling them in beer is worth the extra time an effort.

marinate over night in beer, your choice of peppers, onions, and garlic. boil them those fugers tomorrow and then kiss them on the grill for a nice char. make some slaw and then serve on a nice bun. boom.

Perfect with onions/peppers all carmelized on a tosted bun. Spicy Mustard of course.

Prep on. The Bratz are simple..pan with high heat-pour some water(or beer if you want to waste good beer) and put a lid on it. It will evaporate and the you start to sear the outside. May need to repeat the steaming process if it happed to quick but throw some onions and red,yellow peppers in a pan until all sauteed and done!!

Haven't tried the boiling them in dark ale, though. Good idea.

Grill first and then simmer in a shallow pan of beer, onions, sour kraut, apples slices, and fennel. IMO much better than boiling first. That suggestion was given to me by someone from Milwaukee.

Beer brats. Then put your kraut in a dish with Apple slices and chopped bacon. Bake it then mix it together. Trust me.

Give up red meat---at least the swine. You will feel a lot better, and as you age your body will love you for it.

If that means I have to give up pork rinds and Neeses Liver Pudding, I will not be able to join you in that endeavor.
