I'd say we got unlucky, with injuries, Hardy, etc.

 

10% of the cap was taken from us with Hardy which could have been used on multiple impact players or depth.  How much more unlucky can we get?  A good, sound argument could be made that the league KO'd any chance we had and took our Lombardi away from us this year with that haymaker (pun intended).

 

Of course the expectation is the Super Bowl, as it will be every year for the next decade+.  Too many variables to gamble the mortgage on it but our chances will be as good as any and eventually we'll get ours (plural).

Couple things:

A win after the bye

An aggressive Rivera before we go on a losing streak

A Shula that calls scoring plays in the red zone

A consistent Cam

A consistent defense

If those expectations are met, we win the division easily and should be set up for a deep playoff run.
