Some of you give out statues to easy.

 

Well when you only have 2 over a 20 year period it kind of sad.  There should be more statues outside the stadium.

CJ will get a contract extension with his age and length left on his current contract that will work for both parties.

 

TD his number is fine and it is his final year on the contract the guy deserves to get paid.

 

Kalil  is one of the top centers in the league and his pay reflects that.  I have no issues with that and it is only for next season and in 2016 that it is that high. his 2017 number is very nice too.

 

 

Still say Stewart should be a june 1st cut. His next 3 seasons he will be making as follows 8.3 mil 2015, 9.5 mil 2016, 8.2 mil 2017.  June 1st cut we save 2.0 mil 2015, 5.7 mil 2016, 6.2 mil 2017

Kalil contract isn't bad.

Could we save a bit by extending him? Sure.

He will not be cut regardless.

Thomas Davis is earning his contract.

CJ is the only guy that ya can really make an.impact by extending him.

There is no way the Panther could cut him when he is the only significant pass rusher on the team.

 

Look for Charles to get a 2 or 3 year extension so we spred out the cap hit. We could possibly shed 5 to 6 million off of this years 20 mil cap hit.

Kalil's 2017 number isn't nice, its terrible.  That is a voidable year.  We basically have dead money associated with him for a year that he isn't under contract for.

 

Kalil's contract as is will cost us $25.4m in cap space for 2 years of play.

I agree, smitty will get his number retired, but I doubt s statue. I would be behind a TD statue though, he really represents the "Keep Pounding" mantra set by Sam mills.

I would say ring of honor for 89 and 90, no numbers retired/statues. But, I would love to see a TD statue next to Sam when you walk in!

Between Beason and Luke, how many pro bowl mlbs have played next to him? Both are great talents, (Luke is a monster in his own right) but it's kinda like the guy on the other side of the shutdown corner, who gets all the picks bc no one throws the other guy's way.

When you take his talent, leadership and his story of perseverance in to account, I think the case for a statue is pretty easy to make.

if a franchise is around 100 years.....maybe 1-2 guys will be statue worthy.

Some teams have a ring of honor. Some teams retire numbers. Why can't we be the team that has statues for inspirational players?

There is plenty of room around the stadium for a few statues. I am not advocating for every decent player, but when you have those generational players, (Mills, TD) or HOFers, (Keek, maybe Cam) you can show them some love with a statue.

We are going to be building a statue every year. Sheesh.

And if we have to wait 100 years for our statues??? Fug it, cuz I won't be here to see it.
