i think the vikings' new stadium is slated to be a jagged looking eyesore too

 

stuff that strains to look futuristic usually ends up appearing lame and dated within 20 years.  this is especially true for a sport like football where so many of the aesthetics that people appreciate are rooted in traditionalism.  lambeau field is widely considered the best stadium in the NFL and a bucket list destination and it's not because it looks like it was designed by a kindergartner gluing scraps of construction paper together.

I think it looks pretty good.  I wish all stadiums had a way to close off bad weather (snow, heavy rains-storms).  I like the open dome on most games.  Superbowls are more likely to be played in closed domes.

Domes are for pussies,give me a stadium w/the elements,especially if it were to snow,God I wish it would happen!
