Yeah Matt Kalil is garbage. Maybe a fresh start with his big bro would do him well but I doubt Minny would be willing to throw in the towel on him for a 6-7 rounder.

Honestly? I'd trade a late round pick like 5-7 for Matt Kalil. Not like we'd get a guy in the draft during those rounds that would be able to step in immediately. I know you all want to compare him to Bell, but Bell is far and away the worst tackle in the league. Getting Kalil, as bad as he is, is actually a step UP.

 

So at this point I'd be happy with anyone we got to play LT. It can't be worse than what we already have.

That is actually a damn good point. I've just kind of grown accustomed to 1 guy out of our drafts being worth a crap as opposed to 3-4.

I would not mind trading up in the first to get the left tackle we deem fit. Don't want to give up to much but something to consider. Improving left tackle is in my eyes the most important and crucial part of the offseason

Since we're talking Kalil, what would be his trade value?  When was the last time anyone traded a center?  If there was any value to him, I could be convinced to be for it, and we could draft Cameron Erving to replace Kalil.

Yes let's trade our franchise center who's been one of the best in the game since he started. We just now got decent results out of the o-line and you want to trade its best piece.

I like the idea of trading for Matt Kalil.  There's always the chance that a change of scenery, new coaching staff, and the fact that he'd get to play with his brother could bring him back to his old form.   However, trading a 2nd rounder for him would be bonkers.  That's not good value.  The reason I'd consider trading for him is because his value is at an all-time low.  If we could get him for like a 4th or 5th rd pick, I'd take it.

Because it would be interesting to give him a chance with a new location and his brother. I didn't realize he is as bad as his is but I would still trade a mid round pick for him. And you're completely ignoring the Patterson trade which could be very realistic if they sign Duron Carter. Yeah you can make the point that Patterson got benched this year but he is without a doubt a play maker on offense and special teams if he gets used correctly. He is one of the best open field runners in the league.
