Hopefully we'll cut Roman Harper so that we can all laugh when Rich Eisen's annual 40 yard dash at the combine produces a better time than Harper can manage.

Seems to me a waste of time. All top tier free agents are going to be gone. Teams that bring in prospective Free Agent are going to conduct their own workout.

Why waste time when most teams want to see what they can do up close and personal.

I looked and did not see a thread about this.  If I missed a thread about this, please forgive me.   I think, with Gettlemen's expertise in this area, this could be good news.  I think there are good players who slip through the cracks and have to depend on their agents to get another shot.

I really do not care--it is the same bunch who says "Super Bowl" after every free agent signing.  Besides, there may be someone who missed it the first time around.

thanks. i actually did miss this the first time around somehow.

seems like a great idea. players who don't get much hype, but who still have a lot to offer or who just want to get noticed get a chance to be seen by teams looking to find someone they might have otherwise missed out on.

the timing is good as well. no special trips have to be made by teams since they will all be represented there anyway.
