John Fox to Bears

Woopdedoo. They will make the playoffs at a 30% clip under Fox.

Fox has been proven not be able to to deliver. Why he has been shown the door at each of his headcoaching stops.

Which is exactly what Chicago will be doing in ummm 2-6 years.

but in the mean time they go to the playoffs 4 out of those 6 years.I think at this point Fox is a good fit for  Chicago. he fits their personality and mediocre success would be a welcome change to what they have now. I say he turns them around in one season.

4 out of 6? lmao

he was in Carolina for 9 years and only made the playoffs 3 times.

more like Chicago will make the playoffs 2 times in 6 years.

Fox is just not a good coach. Makes no sense to hire someone that has proven not be be able to deliver.

Give me hope with a new guy over other teams's sloppy seconds.

ESPN:

"It’s just the second time in the Bears team history that they've hired a coach with previous head coaching experience. In 1956, Chicago hired Paddy Driscoll as coach, who was a "player-coach" with the Chicago Cardinals from 1920-1922.

It does not include the three different times George Halas returned to the sidelines after his initial coaching tenure from 1920-29. He owned the team from 1920-1983 and had four different stints as head coaching"

Your hatred is embarrassing. He's one of two coaches in NFL history to turn around a 1 win team and get to the Super Bowl in two seasons. One of the 6 coaches in NFL history to have taken two teams to a Super Bowl. Playoffs in 7 of 13 seasons, 5 championship game appearances.

Really three of those thirteen seasons were complete rebuilds, or stupid situations. 7-9 carolina season one, yuck season here with clausen when his team was gutted and 8-8 in Denver with he who shalt not be named.

ESPN:

"The Bears have made the playoffs just four times in the last 20 seasons, which also included a loss to the John Fox coached Panthers in the 2005 Divisional Round."

Meanwhile, the Panthers went to the playoffs 3 times in 9 seasons under Fox. The Broncos went to the playoffs all 4 years under Fox, winning the division each year

Please, you cant even use his Denver time as he was with Manning. My sister could coach that team with Manning and all the other talent they have.

He was given plenty of time at Carolina and never was able to be consistent and at the end of the day was a disappointment. Hence why he was shown the door.
