Yeah, just got back from the Wendover location--where all the furniture was sent--and that place was a madhouse.  I got there at 10:05, and the sale was supposed to start at 10.  Everyone had already grabbed up what they wanted, and were waiting in the checkout line.

 

I planned on buying two bar stools and a trash bin for my balcony.  Planned on turning the trash bin into a table of sorts.

 

The prices didn't deter anyone.  Everything had been grabbed and/or marked as "Sold."

 

The CO article noted that there were over a 1,000 pieces valued at roughly $75,000.  Even with favorable numbers, simple math tells you that they are price gouging, selling this stuff for way over retail.  

 

Assuming they have 100 of each item, that means they are selling for a grand total of.....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

..... $178,000.00, which is +$100,000 more than the estimated value.  

 

That said, it would be awesome to have that 3 piece set.

I managed to get a trash can for half price - they doubled all the prices once they saw the lines....but a friends daughter works at one of these places and snagged one for me early.

 

Have no idea what I am going to do with it yet LOL

The trash can seems expensive but everything else isn't bad.

$300 for a loveseat? Hell yeah

Just went to the Wendover store. All that was left...4 high chairs (bar chairs) for $100 each....and 2 black low coffee tables for $100 each. No logos on any of it.

They screwed up by not doing an online auction. They would have made TONS more money!!!
