Carolina Panthers Rummage Sale

Not sure if this has been posted (didn't find it in a search), but this is pretty cool....

 

The Carolina Panthers have never shied from doing unusual things for charity – such as auctioning off turf for cancer research – but the team is breaking new ground Thursday with the Carolinas’ first NFL rummage sale.

More than 1,000 tables, chairs, stools, sofas and mini-fridges are up for sale as the franchise cleans out 158 luxury suites for renovations of Bank of America Stadium.

Habitat for Humanity’s ReStores scored the donation bonanza, and the nonprofit intends to have the items up for sale to the public starting at 10 a.m. Thursday. Proceeds will help pay for building Habitat houses for low-income homebuyers.

Seriously though, we close the 26th. If anyone is able to get out there and check out the prices either today or tomorrow, and even possibly grab me something if the price is reasonable, I'd gladly pay them back plus like $5 bucks because I'm a high roller like that.

Ive been to a Habitat Restore, it is Kinda like Goodwill. Im sure that trash can will be $50-$75 bucks, and that glass table with the panthers logo, will prolly be $100 or more.

The ReStore is nothing like Goodwill on pricing. They are mostly higher than retail on a lot of their furniture. The building homes for folks is the reasoning. Just don't expect low pricing because they are a non-profit.
