Steve Smith is as selfish as they come when it comes to football and will want to play for as long as even one team will have him. He desperately wants to keep going up the lists of receiving records and that's basically the only thing driving him now that he got to play, own, and beat the Panthers. He's never winning a championship.

 

Can you imagine Steve Smith's life post-NFL? What will a 45 year old Steve Smith look like?

Smitty has a cap hit of $3M for them. If he wants to come back and will accept a reduced role, he'll play for them through this contract. Likely won't be their WR1 but he could light it up in the slot.

Hopefully he will have matured into a family man and settle down loving what God has blessed him with.  Unfortunately a personality like his doesn't do that too well.  His passion for the game I love.  His hotheadedness, I don't.

I'm talking about Smith mouthing off at guys twice as big as him. How many of those guys has he swung at? Funny, he swings at a small guy like Lucas but just barks at a big ass dude. Wiggins would've curb stomped him.

Doesn't matter, though. There's always somebody out there badder than you. Smith will meet that guy if he keeps it up.
