Smitty is the reason the Coaching staff couldn't develop Wide Receivers and DWill is the reason we couldn't run the ball until the line stabilized late in the season.

Smitty looks to have been a bargain this year at 1 million plus a prorated bonus hit. So just over 2 million salary this year but it doubles the next 2.

 

Ravens probably just don't want him back at double the salary and instead might eat the Bonus cap hit if he won't restructure.

It is documented that WRs we drafted and needed to be groomed (we made an effort to attempt to add some talent 2010 with 3 WRs)......the rookies made it clear it was subpar guys like Jarrett willing to help them. They made excuses for 89 being too busy..

Then you look at real threats to take jobs like Luke......and good vet like Beason, Davis, etc take them under their wings. They want the team to be good and will let what happens happen

He was.  In fact, Smitty has always gave Moose credit for helping him develop into the WR he became.

If KB starts the same poo next year when new wideouts come in here I will call him out on it too but there is no defending the fact that Smith is an ass with a Napoleon complex regarding his stature but not his penis because he is one of the biggest dicks I have ever met.  Anyone who has gone to Wofford knows exactly what I am talking about and it went on for over 10 years.  If you think he liked us, or even worse "you" as a fan, you are sorely mistaken.  He made that very clear in the 95 degree plus temps, year after year.

89 probably has the mentality of -  " Yeah,  those younger WRs have to learn for themselves,  I'm not here to hold they hands while they try to take my job".

I agree. I met him waaaaaay back in the day. I was in the 7th or 8th grade. 

 

I met him, Brad Hoover, Chris Weinke, Ricky Proehl, and a few other guys. Moose was supposed to be there, but his daughter was sick. 

 

Steve is the only player that I left with a negative impression with. Brad Hoover is an awesome dude though. He is one of my favorite panthers. He was knocked up a few spots after that day. He signed my Hat and didn't seem irritated at doing so. He even took a few pics with me.

I meant more of the younger guys, but i wouldn't say moose had big or good numbers once he left CAR......just off the top of my head i think he did better here in 2008 then he did with his career with the bears

 

 

yeah but i meant younger guys that left and went on to have a better career away from Carolina
