The Shula hate is overblown.

Wanting improvement is a reasonable thing to want. Calling him the worst oc or terrible just simply isn't true. Wanting to fire him for improvement is ok. Wanting to fire him cause he's terrible is misinformed. He's average.

Below average

He needs to improve or he needs to be replaced.

His offense this year was exactly league average and improved from last year. Or did you not even read the OP?

League average ain't good enough for me. Neither is being a C student. I want greatness so miss me with that bs.

This!! My whole point wasn't that Shula is a chip kelly or that we are lucky to have him cause if we fired him he would get scooped up by another team. Just that he isn't as horrible as people make him out to be. We were able to be middle of the pack despite our weak offensive talent.

Shula's bosses, for whatever reason, have decided to retain his services for another year.

Either they are idiots or they see something in the guy many here are missing.

Regardless, he is not going anywhere anytime soon, as fans we better hope an upgrade in offensive talent cures what ails this team or we are in for a long year.

there does seem to be a trend there.

Chud was a lot more aggressive, but then you get that 10 yards rushing against Tampa type game because of it.

Do you remember in the Baltimore-Pats game Kubiak sending his fullback for a designed bomb---or Josh McDaniels sending his

slowest wideout, Amedola out on a trick play bomb ???...I mean who else would do stupid poo like that other than Shula...

If Shula had made either of those calls this board would be crucifying him...

Boy? You're funny

Implying that you're communicating with retards when addressing me that's the response you get.

Men can have a difference of opinion without resorting to calling each other retards. Since that doesn't apply to you, yes boy.

Oh my god it's like talking to retards. Seems like the point is completely lost on you. Good day

Your point isn't lost on anyone in fact we all see what your trying to say. We disagree and I think there is much more evidence toward his bad play calling than his good.

OC need to be fluid and create plays for what pieces he has not what he is suppose to. No OC has everything they want but they make adjustments to fit the QB, the WRs and the Oline that you do have. Shula does none of this and runs the same plays no matter who's in there.

Also he doesn't make adjustments at the half and the other team does. Which leads to plays that worked early not working anymore but he still does it. He's one dimensional and can't or won't change.

Yards mean NOTHING when you don't score at the end of drives or settle for field goals that don't win you games.  Sorry, he's one of the worst red zone play callers I've seen.

I'm not going to make excuses for him because he can't adapt to his players, I've seen teams do better with worse.  Calling slow developing plays for half a season with a garbage o-line while your QB is crushed, is stupid.  There's no excuse there.

The league isn't the same as 15 years ago.  Shula is a dinosaur.  You need more talent at the OC position to complete with a passing and offensive league.  The only time we've been close to that is Chud, but we know where that went, the rest of the last decade was spent on conservative play callers because our coaches and the owner who picks the coaches is playing football in 1976 still.
