Oh stop being a girl. You've been shitposting ever since you shortened your name.

Maybe you should consider changing it back, because you were a top 5 poster here, now you're god awful.

Not at all. I just don't say what everyone wants to hear. Now move along.

I think its hilarious how when Cam had a better OC, line, & someone who could stretch the field, we had a top 5 offense, & he was breaking records.

The Panthers finished 2011 at number 5 in scoring offense...Chud's system had really never been seen before in the NFL...teams were unprepared for it...didn't know how to react...

By year two, 2012 we had fallen to 18th and Chud was "full-retard".

In year 1 with Shula we were 18th.

In year 2 with Shula we were 19th.

And we had losing records both years. If yards were that important then that is how you would win a game not by counting points.

But to your point, when we had someone who could stretch the field and we had a good line that bad OC, Shula had us at 12-4. And we actually scored more points per game in 2013 under Shula than we did in 2012 under Chud.....

Facts over fiction........

So the oline & the WRs aren't an excuse for Cam, but it is an excuse for Shula.... Sure you wanna go with that?

Cam Newton has finished 15th, 15th, 16th and 26th in his 4 year career in NFL passer rating.

I have no problem attributing part of his fall from mediocre to atrocious on the offensive line and WR's.

Again show us you are right with facts or you are just another hate monger with nothing to show for it. I guess you don't know that in criminal cases for example eye witness testimony has shown to be highly suspect and often wrong. What you see is what you expect to see based on your biases not what actually happened.

As for proving your perfect comment, take your pick, newtons stats, number of drops, whatever. But until you can actually prove you have a clue don't waste anyone times saying the same stupid crap without a shred of evidence to prove it.

Hahaha yea sure Mr. Attorney lol, I don't have that kind of time on my hands to give you a rundown and recap of every game this Season. You seem like you got some spare time so why don't you go for it? I also don't have to prove anything to some guy on the internet just so he can feel validated about himself.

Now if you want to watch every game that the Offense struggled in then be my guest; pull yourself up a chair, grab a notepad, laptop, or whatever you like to use for notes and have at it. Then when you're done you can tell everybody which play the Offense FUBAR'D, which play the opposing Defense made a read on, which Defender made a play, and which Quarter it happened in, etc.

I have my opinion and you have yours it's that simple.

There are 3 things wrong with Shula that ends up costing us games.

1. He does not know how to call plays that goes with a Players strength

2. His situation awareness completely sucks. He needs someone to give him the type play to run, Like run a screen here, now run a draw, run a play action bootleg, fade pass to KB in the corner. If someone could do that for him I think he would be good.

3. He loses his mind in the red zone, He calls some of the worst plays when he gets inside the 20

Then state it as your uninformed opinion based on being too lazy to look anything up and we would be in total agreement. Easy....

Hating on Shula is the popular and very easy thing to do on this board. We as fans have sometimes an unreasonable expectation of what we think our offense can and should be given what we have to work with. The hate on Shula is way overblown on this board and I'll tell you why.

2013 vs 2014.

We went 12-4 in 2013 but posted some of the worst offensive numbers in terms of total yardage and points.

2013 offensive rankings.

Total points - 18th - 366

Total yards - 26th - 5069

Total passing yards - 29th - 3043

Total rushing yards - 11th - 2026

Besides rushing we were in the bottom half of the league in every single one of those categories.

Now jump to 2014 were we gutted our entire receiving corps, had our pro bowl left tackle retire, our left guard retire and starting Byron bell as LT.

We also were plagued by injury throughout the year.

Cam misses two games due to injury. He had broken ribs, an ankle healing from surgery, and two broken back bones from a car accident in December.

All three of our starting running backs missed games this season. At one point we had to play guys we signed off the street.

Philly brown our promising rookie speedster missed time due to injury.

2014 offensive rankings.

Total points - 19th - 339

Total yards - 16th - 5547

Total passing yards - 19th - 3511

Total rushing yards - 7th - 2036

So with all the injuries. Cam missing two games and playing behind the worst oline in football for half the season the offense improved in almost every category but points.

Now to play calling. I'll be in the game day threads and I'll want to rip my eyes out at some of the posts in there regarding play calling. Now by no means am I defending Shula on every single play call. There are always head scratchers that much is true. But I'll see posts saying "Shula needs to be fired!! He called a 50 yard pass play on a 3rd and 4!!"

1. You don't know who the first read was on that play.

2. You Barely see down field on who is covered until after the ball is thrown in the air.

3. You disregard cam made the decision to throw the ball to philly on that play.

That's just one example but we as fans don't have access to game film or the playbook. We see the play as it happens one time for about 2-10 seconds and it's over. That isn't nearly enough information to understand the play or its concept yet we will have people blaming Shula for player execution. Unless you have access to game film and can watch the plays multiple times I don't think you can fairly criticize the play calling because you as a fan have the littlest amount of information to work with.

TL:DR the offense improved in almost every team offensive stat despite injuries to key players and cam playing behind one of the worst olines in football in his worst year with the team.

We as fans only see plays one time and don't have access to see all the other options available to cam so criticizing Shula for player execution isn't fair.

fug that.

fire Shula.

these are two sides of the argument: one is a well thought out researched piece and the other is four words

It's the Internet buddy, not sure where you've been but most posts on a forum are an opinion. Didn't think somebody would have to lay it out so plain and clear for ya, unless you're just that dense.

Oh I have been right here reading posts like yours all season. And trust me I don'tt need any help from you. The difference is that my opinions are informed by facts and are based on those who are experts and know football much better than I do. Unlike folks like you who can't prove what they are saying and hide behind the veil of being lazy.

In 2011 we had the 27th ranked defense.  In 2012 Chud was far too reliant on the read option at first and Ron went full retard every close game.

I enjoy reading your posts in general but some of your opinions on the offensive side of the ball I just cannot agree with.

Lmao dude you got some serious issues. You sound like one of those guys who have to be right all the time or you're either a troll. "My opinions better than your opinion", are you kidding me right now? That's what you sound like. Go ahead and mark another tally for your e-cred man, bravo well done.
