Lance should return Wednesday

There was this thread.... and we won/lost?....

Lost, but there was alot to like. Mainly Biz, whose defense single-handedly kept the Hornets in it. This is another one of those losses where we would have been blown out if Al had played.

PJ was finally that spark off the bench in the second half that we all envisioned when he was drafted. He also had a flop for the ages that is going viral.

Games like these and the win streak itself make me wonder what would have happened had we continued a rebuild similar to what Orlando or Utah are trying to do right now, where the young draftees are the centerpieces but they are supplemented by veteran role players. As it stands, we have upwards of 20 million dollars tied up in two players the team seems to play better without. Who knows where we would be now if those 20 million had gone to players that actually complement the roster that was built via the draft and Clifford was given a chance to work with the 2013 roster sans Al last season?

I know he's coming off an injury and hasn't played in ages, but Lance was still the same ol' disappointing Lance even without Al. Too tentative, too much ball stopping, and still can't shoot. About the only thing that did improve was his on-court demeanor. I realize he's a talented player, but it's like trying to tell Cam he needs to be more like Brady or Manning. Lance is who he is as a basketball player and he just does not fit with this team. The team playing better without him is no accident, and the longer management keeps trying to fit the square peg in the round hole, the longer we will sit around 9th or 10th just praying for the better Eastern teams to lose.

The good news is we get Indiana and Minnesota next. Those should be comfortable victories, but who knows?

We are not much different than those teams. Our coach is just unwilling to play our young guys unless forced to. We brought in vets but they are logging all the minutes over the rookies. Even with injuries Cliff won't play Vonleh. Biz has shown what he can offer but Maxiell gets back up Center minutes over him.

So what is the point of building through the draft if your coach won't play the guys you draft?
