Falcons defense is horrendous talent wise. The Bears seem more of a fit for Fox as they're historically a low scoring team with good defense who have lost that identity and could use someone like Fox to put them back on that path.

I rather he stay in the AFC. I really appreciate Foxy for what he did here. No one has as many playoffs wins.

 

I think he would build ATLs D and running game. He would have a franchise QB. Matt Ryan would be the 2nd best QB he's ever coached. Fox would beat Rivera. They basically have the same style, Fox just doesn't make as many boneheaded game day decisions.

We all know that Fox was essentially the DC of that team. Peyton Manning could put the jags on his back and get in the playoffs. Matt Ryan can't control the offense in the same way and it gives fox the chance to put his conservative fingers all over it....imo

And he wanted the roster built to run the ball and stop the run, Hence Stephen Davis, DeShaun Foster, Brad Hoover, Nick Goings, DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, blockhouse formations with 3 RBs, draw plays on 3rd and a mile.

Stopping the run cost us picks on Atiyahh Ellison, Kindal Moorehead, Corvey Irvin, Sione Fua, Terrell McClain.

With two GMs trying to figure out how to build Fox's vision of a football team, it'll be worse than having a single Hurney.

I haven't heard how strong a grip Dimitroff has on his job, but I'd think since he wasn't fired with Smith and made to share his job, he will still be there for a couple years before Blank comes to his senses.

Blank has stated that the new coach would be able to make a decision on dimitroff staying.

We took two division titles in a row with Sean Payton and the Saints in the division and you're worried about John Fox in Atlanta? Okay.

He just had Peyton Manning and an all-star team and his best result was getting smacked in the Super Bowl.

The NFL has evolved so much since we had that run in 2005 it almost renders whatever he did then irrelevant to what he could do now. It's a "what have you done for me lately" league, and I'm not sure what Fox has done given the circumstances of his latest team that should strike fear into us, considering where we are poised to go next season and beyond.

Fox has a better post season record with he who shalt not be named and Delhomme then with Manning. Fox also didnt have personal or draft say with Denver. Considering that Peyton wasnt exactly himself because of his rebuilt throwing motion hurting him and making his throwing strength weaker as he kept playing adter the neck injury plus the fact that Peyton had to have the offense built around what he could still do each offseason, I'm not surprised they didnt win a super bowl. Never expected them to really win one after watching Peyton's new thowing motion, knowing it wouldnt last long and would create major fatigue in his lower body.

Manning himself has 9 one and done playoff runs and had a horrible game this year and in the super bowl...

Blaming Fox for bad playoff runs in Denver with Peyton at QB is stupid.

As far as NO goes, that team goes only as far as Brees can take them, not afraid of Payton without Brees or with an aging Brees back to making poor decisions like he did in Sd. Fox and Ryan with a real run game and defense would be much worse...thankfully Fox will be in Chicago.

Theres a reason he keeps getting jobs and thats because in NFL circles he's considered one of the best coaches in the NFL.

As for Atlanta they are deciding between Bowles and Quinn.

It wouldn't bother me.  Fox has the don't break but bend attitude no matter where he is.  That is probably what got him let go at Denver.  He had a lot of tools to work with there.  Elway saw through it.

If Fox was in Atlanta they would prepare for us as if it was the Super Bowl twice a year, just so he could stick JR's face in it.  No thank you...

Their GM is the problem, until they fix both lines Atl doesn't really concern me, regardless of the coach.
