Steve Logan's points on the Panthers game past weekend and future. Radio interview today on 99.9 in Raleigh. Paraphrased as best I could

thanks for the summary RP

I really enjoy listening to Logan - in addition to some real knowledge he is always good for a few laughs as well.

Your are welcome. I have to drive Mondays to Richmond in the pm and back Thursday in the pm so I listen when I can and is on

He also said the Panthers need young running backs ( we all know this here but maybe not the general public).

He was asked about Stewart and he said he is getting too old and Williams should already have been gone due to age and that position. But we all know why

I think the Panthers and Rivera are too myopic on their appraoch to consider a change, much less a change to Steve Logan.

That is the biggest thing that reallly really bothers me.  They talk about evaluations of players and staff and yet the only ones to ever change are the players.

That special teams coach, Shula, and Dorsey need to go and we all know it just won't happen.  ...and that's sad for the players and for the fans who pay.

Go get the best coach you can, not the coach who is a friend or a coach who was available at the time that no one else wanted or a coach that is

comfortable for Cam.   Comfortable does not equal growth.  It never has, and it never will.

I just see the total hypocrisy in standing pat with coaches during an evaluation period but dumping players...and this is why the Panthers under Ron 'Wayne Fontes' Rivera will never be more than 7-9 or 9-7 with an occasional lucky 12-4 which results in a first round knockout in the playoffs.

I would love to somehow get Ginn back or even better draft a WR that can return punts. If Ginn is released which looks like a promising bet he shouldn't cost much. I don't know all the free agents but I am sure there will be others we can sign and as good as Gettleman is at finding cheap talent I am sure he can find someone cheap that can get the job done.

Add some offensive linemen and a safety or two and we should have a great season.
