Duron Carter visiting Wednesday

Kuech the Sneak

I think he could potentially be a steal. I heard he has nice hands and good speed and most people are saying he could be a number 1 WR on a team. From my understanding he really didn't like going to school so that's why he pretty much flamed out of college but I heard he played well in the CFL. It wouldn't hurt the Panthers one bit to sign him to a 1 yr deal and see what Ricky Proehl could get out of him. If he pans out this could work out well in a good city like Charlotte and Chris Carter is his pops.

Who cares? Sure, sign him and see what he can do. But, you don't think every NFL team out there was keeping tabs on an all-time great's son? If he was that great he wouldn't have been allowed to wash out at 3 different schools. Then he's been in Canada since giving up on college. No team drafted him in the regular draft or the supplemental... That says something. He's a free agent for a reason.

I wish Gettleman would stop trying to dig up diamonds in the rough when he passes over so many on the surface in the process. Yes, some of it is due diligence, but I hope this isn't similar to his plan for the OL and WRs going into this season.

Dave has been watching too much American Pickers.

    • Shemar Stewart is a borderline first round talent. No way he should be the 8th pick in the draft because of his combine. Picking him would be the equivalent of Legette over Ladky. Higher ceiling, but much lower floor.
    • Morgan has been a bit underwhelming thus far, but I'll give him another offseason, draft and season before I begin to form some hardening opinions about him.  It appears a few here are half-way I praising him for his work in free agency. I don't mind paying or maybe even overpaying a little bit (that's a Panthers tax for sucking for the better part of the last decade) for a bonafide star like Robert Hunt, but I feel like he didn't have to pay Tershawn Wharton or Patrick Jones II as high of a number as he did.  We'll see what he does next month on the 24th-26th. Then we'll see what it all boils down to throughout next season. I can't exactly love him or hate him, but as a former Panther, he still has some goodwill in the bank.
