If its the clear BPA in rounds 5-7. You can always trade the pick later, the league always needs QBs. Besides seeing DA running the read option is terrible.

I'm big fan of 2 QB on the 53 roster and young gun on the PS.

Y'all think its a joke. Go to the observer when the Panthers win, and then go when the Panthers lose. You will see 10x the amount of posts when we lose.

 

TonyN is just representative of a lot of the Panther's "fans." I think it strictly has to do with Newton. He can't stand the guy so it hurts him when we win and he stays away.

If D.A. weren't coming back sure I'd be for it. Or if in the 5-7 we had a BPA that their is good potential in I say take him.  Granted I don't want a QB Controversy, it is always better to have a quality back up that can at least MANAGE a game than a guy that forces you to give up on the season.

If the Panthers had a better track record of developing QBs and greater depth at other positions, perhaps.

 

GB and NE have gained additional draft positions thanks in part to their ability to select and develop young QBs.

Not any of the first 3 rounds but should we pick up a guy to groom as Cams backup or future when Cam is done here ?  DA isnt getting any younger .  Are we content to just sit with Webb as a 3rd back up or can we do better ?

 

 

Drafting a QB in any round would be a waste. because Cam should have a long future ahead of him here in Carolina. We already have Anderson and Webb,both very capable backups.

Depends on what you're drafting him for, starter/future or backup? We have backups so not necessary unless it's a clear upgrade. This also applies to the starter.
