I see Gase taking over the job in Denver. Sparano might be a ATL hire if Quinn goes somewhere else or the super bowl.

Here is the problem with the ATL job. Blank isn't ready to get rid of Dimitrioff but he's on the hot seat. So any coach that comes in better be ready for the possibility of a GM they don't have a rapport with.

Raiders had interest in Cards DC Todd Bowles but were essentially told to get in line behind Jets, Falcons, 49ers & Bears.

Someone apparently reported that the Niners had hired Adam Gase as their new HC, but it hasn't actually happened yet.  Apparently though, it's looking more and more like it will, and possibly today.

 

PFT is reporting that the Raiders will likely name Jack Del Rio their head coach today as well.

 

Meanwhile, the Falcons have a second interview today with Lions DC Teryl Austin.

 

And, of course, John Fox is interviewing with the Bears.

As for Falcons, Teryl Austin has strong support there too. And they love Josh McDaniels but I continue to hear strong he's not leaving NE

Well, here's an item that will amuse John Fox detractors.

 

In their search for a new head coach, the Broncos are reported to want someone who "works well with quarterbacks".

Hmmm... Fox doesn't work well with QB's.... likely landing in Chicago.... Chicago QB known to many as "coach killer"...

Fox and Cutler definitely strike me as an 'odd couple'.

 

Delhomme's play could be erratic but he was always a 'good soldier'.  Certainly was never emo.

As I recall, people who worked with Scott Pioli in KC absolutely hated him.  Word was he was a control freak to the nth degree.

 

So now Atlanta has given Pioli all the personnel duties while still giving Dimitroff "final say".

 

Kinda wonder how that's gonna play out.
