Atlanta would have been a far better situation for him, but he reportedly wanted more control than the Falcons offered (and he's earned that...why, exactly) plus he thought the Falcons were moving too slow (Arthur Blank just had a death in the family) and apparently wanted another shot at taking down the Patriots.

 

Ryan let his bravado make the decision for him, and blew his chance at the better opportunity in the process.

Unlikely that McD is gone, but if he does get hired elsewhere promoting Wilks and hiring Frazier as DB coach would be really solid (also assuming that Frazier actually is fired).

I was terrified of rex going to atlanta. Woke up with huge relief Sunday morning reading he was going to buffalo. I'm not too worried about Bowles. Just glad it wasn't rex.
