Realistically, what is the future of Shula?

I just want to know why some plays KB was out of the game and the only fugging wide receiver was Bersin.

In the endzone and on 3rd and 10 down 10-14. I don't understand how he uses the personnel he has available.

I believe wide receivers need rest so they get substituted when they are tired or if we bring in a specific redzone set.  Which receiver plays on every play??

I think Gettleman and Richardson will have a high level talk between them, then meet with Ron Rivera to review coaching changes that need to be made.I feel Rivera's job is safe and the feedback he gives Gettleman and Richardson at the meeting will have a high input in  determining which coach's leave or stay.

Like all fans i have my personal opinions on what should happen but alas, they amount to nothing in the final decisions.

Firing Rodgers is just throwing out a bone, it does nothing. Special teams is special teams, we didn't have a punt returner and either your kicker can make a FG or he can't, special teams is more player driven then coach driven, we NEED a new OC and new offensive philosophy, Jesus can we once be proactive instead of reactive

My honest opinion, I don't think Gman and Rivera have faith in Cam's mental ability to learn a new offensive system in one off season, it's not what I think, it's what I think the coaches think. New OCs are brought in all the time and you see QBs thrive because of it, Rivera and Gman don't want to risk Cam learning a new system

You second paragraph is a bunch of bull. He learned Chud's system fairly quickly and learned Auburn's system fairly quickly.

In regards to you first paragraph about special teams, my concerns are more about bad punt and kick coverage and having punts blocked more than missing FGs or punt returning.

That has a lot to do with coaching

I think he will be back.

I don't think Rivera blames him for our offensive struggles.

He should have been fired during the bye week IMO and I would fire him.

But I am not sure Rivera will pull the trigger

given that Rivera has the playbook and film to analyze every play, maybe if he is okay with it, He knows something that most on here don't which is that perhaps it isn't Shula's fault.  If it was Shula's fault primarily, he would or will be gone.

The problem with Shula is he doesn't build his offensive scheme around Cam's strengths. Chudzinski did and Cam looked like a beast his rookie season.

I've seen interviews where Cam talks highly of Shula so, I'm sure he wouldn't want to see him go. I too think he doesn't trust Cam or the system. Too conservative at times for me.

I understand needing rest, but those are too crucial of plays in that part of the field to not have KB out there.

And there's no excuse for that play on 3rd and 10 in the 3rd quarter. That was a very important play in the game.

Cam struggled due to poor play calling on top of not having the best pieces around him.

Any coach that calls 50 yard bombs on every 3rd and short needs to be out of a job like yesterday.

Every time Cam threw a bomb on 3rd and 2, he had at least two other options underneath. That's a Cam decision.

I know it's not popular to hear, but it's true.

I want to get rid of Shula as well, but who is going to replace him?  We already know that Carolina is cheap when it comes to this kind of thing.  When Chud left here, they lazily promoted Shula to OC.  I imagine if we let Shula go, we would just promote Ken Dorsey.

You have it totally backwards.  The whole system is totally built around Cam and what he does well.  The whole read option was installed for Cam as was the emphasis on the running game to take the pressure off his throwing 40 times a game. Chud from what I have read was not that big fan of Cam and often limited what he could do or call.

Cam speaks highly of Shula because Shula lets him runs the offense and call his own plays.

ADo you think they took KB out on purpose so they would not make a good play?  You guys act as if they are doing things to screw up on purpose.  On that play if that was the pick 6, as with others, it was a Cam mistake not because KB was not in. If it wasn't that play, then nevermind.

If they're going to promote within, it will likely be Ramsdell, if anyone.

If we promote within, John Ramsdell need to be Cam QB coach and possible offensive coordinator

Other possible options

Hue Jackson Cincy, Darrell Bevell Seattle, Kyle Shanahan, Cleveland, Joe Lombardi, Detroit, Frank Reich, Chargers; Josh McDaniels, Patriots

There are options, but it doesn't matter if this organization have their minds up to keep Shula

I don't think they're doing it to screw up on purpose.  It's still stupid.  I think it was the pick 6, when Bersin was in for KB near the goal line.  He was Cam's first read, and he failed to get any separation.  Much like every other time he was in for KB.  He couldn't beat the press multiple times, and just got manhandled at the LoS.  So, yeah, it was Cam's mistake for throwing a bad pass.  However, if KB were in the game, he is much less likely to have to make the other reads.  It's stupid to not have KB in the game, when we're in the red zone.  I'm sure he could muster the energy to jump enough to get over a defender, or box them out for a chance at the ball.  You don't keep 6'5", 240 lbs. receivers off of the field in those situations.

I do think Shula allowed Cam to be more free late in the year.  If that would carry over to next season, I wouldn't mind Shula remaining as the OC.  The main thing is to get some experience on that offensive line.  We can't have all those max protection formations on passing downs.  Get some guys in there that can block (and of course Norwell and Turner will have experience going into next season), and our offense will take off.
