Realistically, what is the future of Shula?

Exactly. Do we really need to sit through a painful disastrous season in order to get change? Surely people high in the organization can see that play-calling was abysmal this year and we have been pathetic in the red zone under Shula year after year. He's been doing this poo for two whole decades. How he is still a coordinator in this league is beyond me.

Why is this organization so content with mediocrity? Surely they JR and DG see that change should happen now. We cannot waste the prime years of this young nucleus we have. I figured Shula's termination would've been announced first thing this morning. Every day that goes by and he's still our OC makes me lose more and more faith in the people making the decisions for this team.

My personal opinion and this is how I see things, I dont think Rivera was too happy with Chud abrupt leaving. We just once again finished under .500. Rivera had what like 9 interviews before he finally became a Head Coach and Chud take responsibility for a offense that took off with rookie QB and all of a sudden after 2 years he's a HC. That sent a clear message to Ron..

If this offense continues to do good, yet we still continue to lose, your ass will be replaced. So instead Ron continues to stick Mike, instead of a potential HC offensive coordinator. Ron had better options from 2013 to 2014 and didn't bring in the best possible option in

Cam struggled due to poor play calling on top of not having the best pieces around him.

Any coach that calls 50 yard bombs on every 3rd and short needs to be out of a job like yesterday.

I am told that Cam has 3 or 4 options on every play.  The offense is geared to allow him to change plays and sets based on what he sees when he comes up to the line.  So if he throws a 50 yard bomb on 3rd and 1 then that was his choice not what he had to do.  Typically to throw a deep pass innstead of running it, he would see 8 in the box and either cover 0 or cover 1 with a single high safety so he picks who is single coverage and throws it there.  So in all honestly if that is your problem with him, you are blaming the wrong person.  That was on Cam not Shula.

I agree. It seems to me like they're ok with always playing it safe. They want to do just enough to get by. This organization always has to be so PC. I still can't get over how gutless and spineless we looked not standing up for Hardy. We just laid down and copped out just so the NFL could save face. And at whose expense? The team and the fans. I think that directly shows how mismanaged we are.

Both of those seasons with chud could've been winning seasons if it weren't for Rivera's conservatism and late game coaching errors. I wonder how many games we lost by 1 score those two years.

I mean we do have the NFL logo on our center field not the panthers. I think that says tons about our organizations loyalties.

And he still has barely changed, the Cincy game and first ATL game this year. It shouldn't take 3 seasons in your coaching career for fans, players and everybody around the league to basically tell you to grow a pair and be aggressive and you finally decide to do it cause you're on the cusp of being fired

If Shula is canned then you can believe they feel they can do better and don't agree with his play calling.  If they keep him it is not because they think that Cam can't learn a new system or are settling for mediocre.  They know what he calls, have film to see what happened versus what the play intended and are satisfied that he is doing a good job.

They have the advantage of knowing the playbook and the offensive system and film to see what actually happened.  They know if it is play calling, execution, or a combination of the two.  You can know that they are evaluating this objectively not emotionally like folks on the huddle.  What you can be clear about is that Gettleman is anything but happy with the status quo and clearly has no problems with making big changes if he feels he needs to.  You can also be assured that if they keep Shula, he is doing what they want him to do,

I just want to know why some plays KB was out of the game and the only fugging wide receiver was Bersin.

In the endzone and on 3rd and 10 down 10-14. I don't understand how he uses the personnel he has available.
