Peyton (One and Done) Manning

No offense to Peyton, hes had a great run,..

But the dishes are done dude,.. retire.  You cant make over the top or deep out throws any more, Seattle exposed you and other teams have followed suit to the point that the Colts just made you look like and old Colt McCoy,... sorry.

With that,..

Peyton also took one of the largest if not THE largest contracts with an enormous 23 million a year or more CAP.

Once again, just like the Colts(especially after his Superbowl win over a team that couldnt score more than 17 a game), Denver had no cash to keep worthy free agents and core talent around.

Peyton is Kobe.

Well except for the 5 Championships!

Ill add to what I said and clarify that I have a high regard for Peyton.  Hes the man, gotten a lot of undue criticism about not winning more postseasons and Superbowls.

The part thats his fault is not that he cant get it done, its that him like many "elites" or wanna be elites take up 1/4 or 1/5 of their caps after they get uber paid.

Brady was a 6th round nobody on the Patriots who are stingy get lost types except for the most crucial players.  So it took quite a while before Bradys paycheck truely caught up with this Superbowls.

After the UBER checks,.. they always get to the playoffs but cant close the deal.  Case in point.  We will see what happens now that Brady took a cap cut restructure to get Revis, Lafell and others in.  If he gets another Superbowl,..case in point.

Seattle is in that situation now with a seriously underpaid Russell.  Just wait until he gets 140 million with 70 million guaranteed and cap of 25 million,............

screwed.

Basketball is 5 on the field, football 22.

Not to thumb my finger at an inferior sport(haha--hate it because I cant play it), but a Batman and Robin on a team of so so players CAN win championships in Basketball.

If a team in the NFL just had Tom Brady and Luke Kuechly-- the so so players had better be all mistake free above average at least-- and the coaches had better scheme like a dream,...

SO if you over pay a Kobe and cant have 2 others like Miami was having there for awhile(scheming and egos screwed that up), you still can get it done.  Jordan had Pippin as his Robin and pretty much no one else.

Just saying-- 22 needs a lot more x-factor, lessons in human psychology, scheming and even talent to win Superbowls.

Then you have a Tom Brady who gives back, takes less.

Because he wants to win.

It was just mentioned but heres the link:

Torn quad.

So a lot of that he's done stuff even by me may have been premature. He still may retire, but how many could seriously throw deep outs etc, let alone play with a torn quad?

Big props even in his loss.

Here's the worst Post Season choke artist of all time.

Money in the regular season, records, TD passes, blah, blah, blah. But put him in the Playoffs and it's most likely one and done.

9 times Manning has gone one and done in the Playoffs, his latest a defeat at home after a Bye against a team with a Sophomore QB and not much else.

Whether it's Mora, Dungy, Caldwell or Fox this guy is a coach killer.

No one has ever achieved less with more in the history of the NFL.

CYA Peyton, just retire.

I laugh at  the fact that Manning is now saying he played the last several games with a thigh injury, using it  as an excuse for his poor play ,overthrowing and missing receivers, also wanting people to think he's tough for  playing  with this mystery, injury no one knew about.

I feel like Manning has lost a lot of arm strengh due to aging and would be wise to retire, count his money and continue making those corny commercials on tv. He should do this  before he hurts the Bronco's with his $23 million cap hit,  as well as shattering his own huge ego.

Everyone knew he had a thigh injury for the last month or so...just not that it was this severe. He's been on every injury report since the SD game with a thigh injury.

Is Peyton a choke artist or was his teams choke artist? Was Peyton the reason why year after year his teams made the playoffs? We all saw what happend to the colts the year Peyton got hurt and I believe they were in the Playoffs the year before.

Another question is how badly injured Peyton's quad was? While he's never missed any games besides the 2011 season he has had many offseason injuries and probably has played many games injured throughout his career. Obviously Manning wasn't having a good game and obviously something was off with him. Also Peyton has lost many playoff games but you could also argue that a lot of those losses were to just better teams and the proof of that is most of those teams he lost to were Super Bowl winners, like the Patriots, Ravens, ect.

I'm not trying to make an excuse but not everything is black and white.
