fox also took 2 jake delhomme quarterbacked teams to nfc championship games. john fox also brought this team back to relevancy. but yes lets pretend he sucked as a coach. if john fox sucks as a coach then i can only imagine what your opinion of rivera is.

then losing the following season and we forget the awlful calls in the SB we did make?

not big on rivera, but i realize he is new to the HC game. does not change the fact we made the playoffs under him with a losing season (due to the division).

there are better HCs than both of them, it is matter of rather J Jones and Panthers fans want to raise the bar and have some expectations of greatness or just happy being average and making a "good showing every now and then...

again you couldn't be more clueless or wrong about anything. john fox was the coach in waiting for tom coughlin. john fox was successful here. john fox was hired immediately by a hall of famer after coming off a 2-14 season. john fox is a very good coach in this league. I'm not going to sit here and argue your ridiculous points because it isn't an argument. you just do not understand or know what you are talking about here.

Fox got lucky that Delhomme actually turned out to be a decent QB for a few years.  Fox certainly had nothing to do with that.  Fox was handed Peyton Manning on a silver platter (also something he had nothing to do with) and has now managed to fug up 3 years of the best QB of all time.  Fox has been on cruise control and cashing dem checks for a decade now based on a couple of good years a looooong time ago. Some desperate team will give him a job next year and he will keep right on cruisin';.  He sure chews the hell out of some gum though.

lets see where he ends up and his record post Peyton Manning era.

IF he gets canned, it because he was handed a team that should have won a SB and he can not. He is average...period. He goes to an average team, and Fox is forgotten about..pretty quick. just hope it happens THIS time...

21/40 for 152 yards. Those are Peytons number so far. That is Fox's fault tho, right?

I always supported Fox but you guys have very short term memories. He would have never made those changes on defense. He was far to loyal to vets.

exactly

he's as much of a stay the course, change-averse, keep playing my boys guy as there is in the entire league.  the fox era was at its peak between 2003-2005 and then the party was over.  after that his core got old and things went downhill until jake finally crashed and burned for good.

let's not forget the 2006 season when the panthers went on a massive FA spending spree and were the consensus sexy super bowl pick that year

lol 8-8 and missed the playoffs. then again in 2007.

I remember that. We were supposed to play the Dolphins in the Super Bowl. Lol
