In the history of proving people wrong, I haven't seen you actully pull that one off yet.

Back to back nfcs titles with dollar store signings is setting this franchise back? When were paying Rbs what we should be paying a franchise qb? It won't set us back if this is all he is right now but I think it's foolish to think this is all he will become at the age of 25.

We will be fine. unless you don't think Cam was apart of the past two years or the 6 game run we went on to end this season

Even if he doesn't get better he is a guy getting us nearly 30 TDS a year. That is a productive good QB

He isn't setting the franchise back. He has already moved us forward.

4 years after coming in to QB a 2-14 roster and he has already won 2 NFCS titles.

How is that holding us back?

dropping the kind of coin on williams and stewart that hurney did when it's inevitable that one of them is going to be standing on the sidelines on any given play because that's how the position works is not the same thing as paying cam comparable money

Not at all confused.  So are you saying overpaying RBs and DEs is more detrimental to the team than overpaying a QB before he has established himself as being worthy of the pay he gets? 

 

You are right, there is a difference.  Paying too much for a QB can be worse in the long term.  If Gettlemen gives Cam $20m and he never improves or the beating he takes starts causing him to regress, then this franchise is in worse shape than we were in 2011 and 2012. 

 

I don't think you pay a guy $100 m until you are certain he is the guy to take you to the promise land.  I know the market--it is set by teams not going to the Super Bowl.  Gettlemen is not going to get stuck with a contract he can't get out of if he is unsure about Cam. 

 

Look at the QBs in the final 4--they have (or will get) $20m+ contracts and they deserve it.  If you think Cam deserves their cash, then compare his stats, w-l records, etc. 

 

Cam should be given nothing.  He should be offered a lucrative deal that pays him handsomely when he plays at a high level on a consistent basis.  I think that is what Gettlemen is saying if people are willing to listen.

Don't you have to study for your GED retest?

It is possible to make sure that he gets better CONTRACTUALLY--which was the topic. If he does not, you get out of the deal.   The reason I am having to explain that to you is all I need to know about you.  Just ignore my posts and respond to those that have pictures.
