What does Gettleman do about Cam

Cam will be more consistent when the talent around him performs consistently. He couldn't trust his oline for half the season, and when he tries to throw with any anticipation his WRs stop on their routes or aren't where they're supposed to be.

Cam isn't perfect, we all agree there. We all agree he isn't a top 5 quarterback, but he is a top 10. What he's accomplished with what's been placed around him is admirable.

25-34 TD/INT for his career and he was benched for michael vick at one point

i'd want to keep the football out of his hands as much as possible too

13-13 td/int ratio last season improved over his rookie season.

But it was ok Cam had 18/12 with 9 fumbles.

Well..  14 TD, 13 int,  8 fumbles.            We should trade Cam + 3 first round draft picks for Geno.

Geno had a better completion percentage rating then Cam this year. So in a way yes he was.

corrected

This statement shows.....

A. A complete misunderstanding of basic football performance regarding what is good versus what is bad.

B. A classic case of manipulating a single stat in an attempt to try and prove a point regardless of how foolish it makes you look.

C. A total lack of objectivity concerning a contrary opinion which means rational discussion isn't a real possibility.

Enjoy your self indulgent reality....I'm sure it's really nice in there.

Maybe, but most times I read sound arguments from those who criticize Cam, they are met with feverish opposition. Once again, it's the internet, so I may be mis-interpreting things.

I agree, the WRs need improvement, the OL needs improvement, and Shula's redzone playcalling is laughable at times. I am not delusional to those facts either. However, I am not one to exactly "blame" Cam for all of our offensive inconsistencies as well. I think for many of us who are frustrated with Cam, it's the glaring mechanical and decision-making issues that have yet to be corrected, and for us, that provides discomfort. I hope he improves, but it's been a frustrating work-in-progress. This relates back to why I and some others do not think he is worth the price tag of $100+, however, for non-performance purposes, it may be warranted.

The fact that you guys think he has all these glaring issues and decision making issues yet still gets you 30 TDS a year and is only 25 is the very reason you should sign him to a long term deal.

Hell even if he doesn't improve he is a 30 TD a year QB. Still a franchise QB and guy you can build around

If he does become more consistent he will be virtually unstoppable when u take his running ability into account.

As is he is a franchise QB. An even better Cam Newton is downright scary

I would like to express that Cam giving the Weapons top 5 QB'S have. Could definitely be up there.

Look at the top 5 surrounding cast and compare it to Cam's. .

Hilton. Wayne.

How good is Hilton?  I still remember his game against the Chiefs in last years playoffs.   He took that game over... was always wide open and when he wasn't, he was overpowering Dbs.   The very next game,  the media was all over the place,  claiming that Luck has no weapons.    His game against the Chiefs reminded me of a young 89.
