So what does Gettleman do with Cam?

Just curious....Drew Brees won 18 games over the past two seasons compared to 17 wins for Newton (Cam missed both Tampa games which could have padded his stats a little more). Does Brees play at a satisfactory level? Matt Ryan won 11 games the past two seasons....Should the Falcons dump his sorry ass? LOL

Using the average wins per year to judge a QB is very simplistic approach to justify your "Cam sucks and isn't a winner" agenda. Of course, first ever back to back playoffs appearances and division titles doesn't help your case so we can pretend that stuff never happened.

During our 6 games losing streak this year, Cam didn't play very well. Missing camp, ankle surgery, and fractured ribs may have contributed to his poor play but Cam isn't allowed any excuses so I'll concede he was bad. The offensive line was bad......The defense was bad....Special teams were bad.....Coaching/game plans were questioned.... And we were bringing in RBs off the street and PS because our top 3 backs were injured. There was a lot wrong with our team and a lot of reasons we were struggling but according to your "Cams not a winner....average wins per year theory", we lost those games so Cam sucks. I think the most casual fan understands the 3 phases of the game; offense, defense, and special teams so the QB isn't solely responsible for wins or losses. Yet.....your reasoning for Cam sucks is average wins per year. I think it's pretty obvious the bias a lot of Panther fans have against Cam so I'll say what most Haters don't have the balls to admit. If you can't handle the truth....stop reading now.

Cam is a great athlete and a very good QB. The problem is he isn't good the way you want him to be good. You want a skill set different from what Cam has to offer. You want Jake Delhomme, Flacco, Matt Ryan, Andrew Luck types that passes for a 3rd and 10 first down instead of scrambling for it like Cam does. Yes we got the first down but all you Trent Dilfer types have to complain because it didn't happen via a pocket pass like the golden age of yesteryear. Cam has a lot of areas he can improve. I'm the first to say he needs to get more consistent but he's never going to be one of your iconic golden boys, standing in the pocket with defenders draped over him as he fires downfield. He's a nontraditional QB so please stop bashing him because he's different and just enjoy our recent success.

Looovvvee youuu, mean it!

The same people who say not to take a chance on Cam because he's "inconsistent" are the same ones who would've passed up a young Peyton Manning, because he too, was a bit inconsistent after his first 5 years and was horrible in the playoffs.

Lock Cam up, and get him some more pieces on offenses. Can't even compare Cam to other young QB's or QB's of the past, because those QB's were given pieces to grow with. We gave Cam KB for the start of his 4th year.

Kap comp percentage 60.5

Dalton 64.2

Cam 58.5

Yeah no

If you take the QB out of the equation, does San Fran and Cincy have more talent on offense than the Panthers? This preseason those teams were praised for improving the offense while Carolina was criticized for getting worse on the OL and WR groups. Remember which team was widely regarded as having the worst WRs in the league? Yea.....you know but it's easy to forget when, in spite of all that, we still make the playoffs with Cam as the QB.

Cam has done more with less since he arrived in Carolina. You can pretend stats are accrued in a vacuum when it conviently supports your position but most fans know better. Nice try though....
