Kelvin Benjamin gets it

Jackofalltrades

He's really been struggling down the stretch, but with that said, I was VERY pleased with how he played last night.

Post pretty much sums it up. It's a long season and he comes in and is thrust into the number one position. That said we put a lot of pressure on the kid. He did struggle but handled his business when it mattered last night. Sounds like he will get better.

Here is one way to measure Kelvin's season:

How many here would have gladly paid Ginn, Lafell, and Smitty a total of $11 million per season to stay here?

After next year's draft, I am assuming we grab a WR in the second or third round, we will be paying about $3-4 million per season.

Kelvin will get an accomplice next season.  Not only will we have one of the best and youngest secondaries in the NFL (when we draft a SS or move Jones there), we will have one of the best WR corps in the NFL (Benjamin, high 2015 draft choice, Philly Brown).  Oh yeah, and we will have one of the best young OLs in the NFL, with a rookie LT, 2 second-year Gs, and Remmers (Kalil the old veteran leader).  Oh, and our DL will have 2 third-year DTs, a second-year DE, and Johnson.

Get used to the playoffs people.  KB and this youth movement is going to be there for a while.

Exactly. People underestimate how much pressure we actually put on Kelvin's shoulders. Starting a rookie WR as your number 1 from the very beginning of the season was a huge roll of the dice by Getts (Gotta take risks when you have minimum cap space). Anyone who has any SLIVER of a doubt about Kelvin needs to learn more about how football and the NFL works.

KB can have had a great rookie season, be something we can be excited about, and still have things to work on and feel like he himself had a bad season.  To an outside observer we can be very happy with what he has done this year, but that doesn't mean he should sit pat and never improve on anything.  He was a good receiver for us this year but he can be a great one.  He will improve, I think.

Kelvin blew away even the haters expectations but drew a lot of unwarranted hate.

I know everyone wants them to be inhuman and never make mistakes but plenty of veterans go through yips like he did, some never come back.

Kelvin balled out against the best secondary in football.

If thats not why we drafted him, then I guess people dont know what a number 1 receiver is.

Big time players make big time plays in big time games.

Thats Kelvin Benjamin.

I think Kelvin has been adjusting to the length of an NFL season too, as someone else said, 2014 was a pretty long year for him.

1,000+ yards and 10 touchdowns for the rookie. Who here predicted that when we drafted him?

He seems pretty dedicated to me, he'll put in the work.
