Dude they got extremely lucky on 3rd down multiple times. Yes they practiced and got themselves in that position but bomb after lucky bomb when players are 3 inches from intercepting the ball is just lucky.

Another thing, Seattle aint got much time left, those rookie contracts gonna start coming up in force. Sorry but Legion of Boom is gonna be the Legion of Whom just like us last year sooner rather than later.

Made this same point on facebook. Once they start having to pay guys, certain people are going to have to be let go unless they're willing to take pay cuts. This is the NFL and these are NFL players. I can't think of anybody on that roster who would take a paycut outside of Wilson, and we all know his contract talks coming up will be HUGE money, especially if they repeat as champs.

They might win it all this year. If they do, you can bet your ass over the next 3 years, that team will be a shell of itself. Still effective and good, but not nearly as dominant. Unless Carrol pulls a Belichek and gets a ton of production out of new guys once they lose most of their defense and Lynch.

What blew my mind was the Lynch fumble the Wilson recovered. He looked like he knew there would be a fumble and where it would go.

The issue is applying pressure and keeping contain, hard to do both. We could have been more disruptive but we had to keep the eye on wilson

The defense was bad. Just bad.

 

The offense finally scores...the defense immediately gives up 7. The offense moves the ball and gets you great field position...the defense gives up the field position and 3 points. The offense goes 3 and out. The defense gives up 7 more.

 

The Panthers had a slim chance at the end. The defense gives up first down, after first down...and the Hawks run out the clock.

 

But this is the Unit that we pour precious resource after precious resource into.

 

so what are you advocating, building this team like denver and going in to seattle and trying to win in a shootout?

 

i gotta admit though, i certainly can't think of a mind boggingly loaded offense getting humiliated in a nationally televised game by the seahawks.

The defense did give up some big plays, and played too loose in the redzone for sure.  They had a good last 5 weeks, number 2 in football and will only get better.

 

We do need another DE.  Dont be shocked if thats our first pick.

And they made Seattle's TE look like Jimmy Graham. I hoped they wouldn't make Seattle's WRs look like All-Pros. Same old Panthers, making another team's weakness into its strength. Who knew Seattle was one of the best passing teams in the NFL? ~SARCASM

I think the absence of Star had a chain reaction last night.  No Star meant more run support to contain Lynch, which left the defensive backfield more vulnerable to those lob passes.

Not really. But if we are going to be so defense heavily, than we cannot allow a team like Seattle to move the ball and/or score like they did.

 

As I said, the defense was horrible. The offense manages to score in the second quarter, and the defense, on the very next possession gives up a TD.

 

The offense in the 3rd, manages to give the defense great field position down by 4. The defense allows Seattle to score a FG.

 

I think that the Seahawks scored on every possession in the second half save the first and the last (which they weren't trying to anyways).

 

If we are going to build a team like the way the Panthers have...We gotta be better than that on defense.
