Time for G man to get to work

Dude has had two really good drafts and some good FA finds. I think his talent evaluation is on point and as advertised. With that said I really do think he and Rivera are a good combo. One finds the talent while the other molds it. Only thing holding us back is a young OC that is looking to make a name.

Gettlemen has already shown me that he is a stud.  Do you realize how many players who were starting today were players he found?

Norwell (Undrafted FA)

Brown (undrafted FA)

Remmers (Minnesota PS)

Boston (4th round draft pick)

Binwikere (5th round draft pick)

Benjamin (1st round draft pick)

Turner (3rd round draft pick)

Harper (free agent)

Colin Jones (free agent special teamer)

Colin Cole (free agent out of retirement)

Jericho Cotchery (free agent)

That is 11 players--HALF of the starters were players Gettlemen found with no cap space--just good drafting and bottom fishing.

Key contributors (non starters):

Fozzy Whitaker (free agent wanderer)

Kevin Love (free agent practice squad)

Kony Ealy (2nd round draft pick)

I am sure there were others I have missed.  Gettlemen has already done enough to convince me that he is solid.

You mean the players that took a 12-4 division winning playoff team to a 7-8-1 division winning playoff team? A team who still cannot beat Seattle for 4 straight games. 3 of those Seattle losses under Gettleman's watch.

You call him solid. I call him mediocre. Just like our coaches. Thankfully the NFC South is poo.

You forgot about Star who was injured, and KK who is practically a starter himself.

You're an idiot.

I'm sorry, but you're just stupid if you don't think what Gettleman has been able to do thus far with this team with limited money and draft picks is anything short of a god damn MIRACLE.

Rivera, I can see being an average coach. Gettleman has pulled talent out of his ass for super cheap the past two years.

You forgot about Glanton, KK and Star. In my opinion he has been very impressive so far and our record might have been a lot better if we had started the right players from the start.

Thanks for not forcing me to say that. Gman's job should be safe until he chooses to retire. I think he's got a great eye for talent. Is every single move he makes a winner? Nope. Does any GM strike gold every time? Nope.
