Draft Picks should be #25, #57, #80?

As of 3 days ago this is what Walter had to say.

Carolina Panthers: La'el Collins, OT/G, LSU ...

Question.  Can he play LT?  Otherwise fug no.

Draftek says this.

Ronnie Stanley

Notre Dame Left OT

I don't like Collins at LT, no.

Stanley is good, might be rising.  I see Ogbuehi falling and I don't know if I'd drop a prospect from top 5-10 to the end of the first round because of a single game. But, hey, do it.  People had Benjamin top 15 or so this time last year.  By May 1, they'd talked themselves into him being a top 45, enough that I remember people calling him a reach at 28 for f's sake.  A player that talented at 28 being a reach...yeah, allright, if you say.

In case I am mistaken the name of the game is to try to win a championship. I don't want to be a team that has a culture of losing. There is no guarantee that a top 10 pick will work out. It is not every year I get to go to and enjoy a home playoff win. The Panthers played the Seahawks tough too. Screw playing for a draft pick, I want a Lombardi trophy. The more playoff experience Cam and the rest of the team can get the better.

Hyperbole anyone?

No one is saying there isn't anyone at 25. But you're lying to yourself if you think a tackle at 25 is as talented as one in the top 5. Most of the guys available at the end of the round are there for some reason.

KB was a great value pick, but he was there because of drops and possible work ethic issues. He dropped tons of passes this season and his route running left a lot to be desired. Don't kid yourselves... a lot of people wanted OBJ... look at the difference.

Getts has shown he knows what do do come draft day.

*not worried*

What Gettleman has shown on draft day is that he waits for our pick to come up.

Yet I guarantee the next 3/4 months you will see the words "TRADE DOWN!" come up on this board at least as many times as our ST missed this season (read: a lot)
