This was a collective team loss. We could not control the field position. We had our offense start at the 11 yard line each drive because we can't get anything from special teams. We ask our offense to drive 90 yards down the field to get a TD against the best defense in the NFL. The first half, we gave Seattle favorable field position. Next, the Defense could not stop Russell Wilson on 3rd down. He had 2 TDs to Kearse on third and longs. Seattle is just a better football team. From their elite players to role players they play with the same intensity. You see guys like Luke Wilson making plays and carrying guys 15 yards down the field. IMO, Cam played well enough to win the game, if the whole team played their parts. Asking for a Herculean performance  out of him is practically unfair. This game might have been different if Cotchery, Olsen, and Tolbert did not have key drops.

I think Cam played well. I think toward the end he started pressing too much and tried to hard to win the game. Made some forced throws.

Look at what he was against and look at his hindicaps

Cam is my QB and I'm proud he's my QB. I see a bright future

Cam did play well.  He played better than the last time Aaron Rodgers did against  that team in their house and better than the last two times Payton Manning played them.  His footwork had improved tremendously since last game and he moved as well in the pocket as i have ever seen him. I think the team played pretty good against a ridiculous team that is very hard to beat. I think the coaches did a good job and a couple inches made the difference with the fumble and very short field then Bene just getting beat. We played better than almost anyone expected and I feel good going into next year.

Cam had some bad throws and some good ones. I don't think either side of the spectrum is accurate. He wasn't horrible and he wasn't great. He had some guys let him down, and he let some guys down. His play would have beat a lesser team than Seattle. They are a really good team, and an even better defense. They were the better team overall, and played better, especially late. End of discussion.

Cam has to really improve the fundamental things of playing quarterback. They also need to get him another weapon or two. He can not stare down receivers and release the ball late. His anticipation concerns me but maybe an offseason of being healthy will help.

I'm lazy so I'll just copy my post from the game thread on my thoughts...

Cam is what he is. He's better than his stats because of the ways he helps the running game and runs himself. He is not, however, a top QB. He's a slightly above average/just outside of the top 10 NFL QB. Somewhere around #12. He should improve but he will almost certainly never be a top 5 QB. However, do you really want to gamble with having a guy in the bottom half of the league for x number of years? He may be flawed but he's our guy and the fans love him. My kids love him. I'd much rather give him a contract and see what he can do with an OL and some receivers than take my chances with whatever draft pick or free agent.

But DA has played so exceptionally well he deserves a strong look. First DA looks good in training camp and all I hear is "its only training camp!" Then he looks good in pre season and all I hear is "its just pre season!" Then he plays two regular season games and looks like Peyton Manning, and all I hear is "but its teh Bucz!!"

DA has done enough to atleast warrant some cnsideration about rolling with him. He is just such a great passer from the pocket. Why on earth will you handicap your salary cap by signing Cam to a huge mega contract when a guy like DA can possibly do better for fraction of the cost.

What would you rather have, spend all your money on Cam and as a result have a bad team around him, or roll with DA and use that money for a elite WR and O line pieces?

I guess you didnt watch the superbowl last year, or the first game of the season against Green bay. They were no better, amazing how people post non sense with no thought at all when it comes to Cam.

Guess you have not seen who has a SB Ring and who doesn't. Guess you have seen who was MVP and who has not been. Guess you have not seen who has a better QB.... never mind its not worth you stupid answer.

Cams not going anywhere. DG will get him some weapons and we will make it over the hump. Wilson might be better than Cam right now but his team is going to start to suffer from his and Sherman's huge contracts. While all we have it up to go.

Cam is definitely going. What weapons? This team is still in cap hell. We let go speed and quickness in our receiving corps for slower receivers. Its not about wilson being better, both kaep and wilson were drafted to already better teams. Both had better systems, coaches and players. It doesn't fall on one person shoulders. I know for a fact you guys don't think if we drafted Wilson, we'll be better than what we've been

And I'm not understanding this optimism. We ended the season better than we started, but the season still has been a step back from last season. You're supposed to go forward, improved. Both divisional losses. Idk how much upside you guys think Ron Rivera, Mike Shula, Ken Dorsey, Richard Rogers has.

Pretty spot on. He's not as bad as the naysayers say, and not as good as the Cam jockeys say. He's a middle of the road QB: great talent that is held back by inconsistency.

He deserves top-15 QB money and that's it.

And don't give me that, "Oh, but look at his receivers. Bersin is falling down. Cotchery can't catch...." I get that. But at the end of the day, you HAVE to find a way to win. Fumbling the ball [yes, I put that on Cam b/c Stew never had possession], throwing a horribly bad ball on the run to give us a chance at 3d and long, and throwing two picks [one for a pick 6] says a lot about composure. Add the horrible throw to Cotchery in the 1Q when he just threw it away instead of leading him down the field, only getting Olsen 2 catches, and the CONSTANT stiff-jawed attitude leads me to conclude that he still has A LOT to prove.

That said, he DOES need A LOT of help. Keep Philly. The rest of the WR Corps needs to go.

The rest can go on coaching. EXPECTING the game to come down to "one explosive play," and then expecting to play a perfect 4Q comes down to coaching.

Yeah KB has GOT to go
