Cam Newton

Wilson played well but he is definitely on a better all around Team and has better coaches.  Congrats to Wilson though, he did his thing.  Cam must learn from this and come back better next year and hopefully healthy and in the best condition of his young NFL career.

Wilson made throws that Elite QBs make and he also made good decisions with the ball. That was the difference in this game. When it was on Cams shoulders to make plays he over threw, under threw, and threw it to the other team. Thats just not up to snuff in my book.

Cam played just about as well as he could. Take a look at the "weapons" around him...on the pick six, his options were Bersin (who fell down on his route, Cam's first read), Cotchery, and Dickson. To even have this game within one score in the 4th quarter at Seattle is a testament to this team's heart. At the end of the day, we just don't have the horses to compete with one of the best teams in recent memory. There's no shame in that.

why Bersin is ever the first read on any pass play boggles my mind smh...That happened earlier on the 3rd down sack in the first half

Did you see the interception Manning threw in Seattle last year into triple coverage.

Or how about the way Seattle made Manning look in the Super Bowl last year.

The fact that your comparing Cam to those guys already means you've lost this argument. You're putting him in that class by comparing him to those guys!

That was just a off game by Denver period. Im not saying Cams a bad QB, Im saying Cams not a Elite QB and he need a Great WR to make him look good.

People saying Cam played poorly have no business talking football.  On both INTs the receiver didn't fight for the pass.  On the pick 6 Dickson squatted and leaned backwards.  Combined with Chancellor making an amazing play on the ball, that's not a bad decision.  That's just a terrible play by the receiver and an amazing play by the DB.  Cam had a good game.  Just wasn't good enough.  Many amazing throws and KB and Olsen were his only reliable targets (as usual).

How many balls did Cam Sail?  How many INT did he throw?  You cant blame all those on the WR's Cam doesn't look off the Safety and Seattle new that.  1 year left on his contract and he doesn't deserve a new one.  Either let him play his last year here or trade him.

Cam had his breakdowns and he had his moments.

Our offense has looked so predictable this season.      And last season.        I miss the days of Chud.        I miss the days of Cam being one of the best deep throwers in the league.   I miss how creative we were on offense back then.            Shula has taken us from one of the most potent offenses in the league,  to one of the shittiest in a matter of two years.

    • Bryce put it in a spot only his guy could get it only for David Moore to drop it. T_T Tremble and Horn both struggled yesterday and that killed me since they're two of my favourite players. Tommy knows he has to come down with this one. Folks were understandably saying that JT would've caught that had he not gotten hurt a few plays earlier. The more I look at this play, the more I think that Bryce made the right decision throwing it out the back of the endzone. He could have tried to laser it in to Thielen, but that safety is lurking awfully close inside. Insuring the field goal here after a 44sec drive to end the half was the right move.
    • Except Bryce was the main reason we were in it
    • NFL Pro has the All-22 up already 😄 Going to grab a play or two from each redzone series to put screenshots to. Looks like AT angled his route off to the near pylon rather than the back corner where Bryce was throwing to. I imagine this is something they'll quickly try to figure out with Thielen back from IR. After watching the All-22 again, this was actually a pretty nifty play. I thought it was a TE screen to Tremble because of the way XL charged the DB, but he quickly shed and kept upfield as seen in the second screenshot. This looks like it had multiple layers built into it with AT running the crosser, XL the fade, Tremble to the flat. The progression would call for the play to go to Chuba here as the LB does follow Tremble out into the flat. Ball hits Chuba low and in the hands, but the LB does a good job disrupting the catch.
